R. Stuart & Co. Tasting Room — Attraction in McMinnville

One of my ALL TIME favorite tasting rooms! We visited years ago and I've been dreaming about it ever since... so while visiting in laws in Portland and taking the kids to the Wings and Waves Waterpark... I found a way to break away for a tiny bit to do a tasting at R Stuart & Company Winery, and I'm SO glad I did!

Our poorer was amazing and I could have sat in there talking wine all day (and know I'm lame...)!!! The wine is SO good. The only downside is that the bottle if you're not a wine club member (which too pricy in its own right) are very expensive, so you can't walk out of there with everything you'd want. But the tasting experience is divine. They had some really interesting ones this time and I'm sure that changes every time you do.

We stopped here as we pulled into town because they were open late. What a lucky move on our part. Katie and Nora were so knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the wines. We especially liked the Gamay and the Pinot Gris! Not what we expected. Part 2 of this: we went back the next day to pick up bottles to take home and enjoyed more time sipping at the bar with Nora and Katie. They gave us restaurant recommendations nearby as well as suggestions for the next leg of our journey up the coast. So: good wine, lovely airy tasting room, and friendly professional staff. Don’t leave McMinnville without stopping into this wonderful wine bar! A great place to hang out downtown, friendly staff provides you with knowledgeable conversation while you taste through R. Stuart’s labels. The Big Fire Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris are absolutely amazing!! I also love their Champagne and the Reserves are truly a gem in the land of wine. They also have little snacks like delicious rosemary cashews, cheese and crackers! If you aren’t feeling wine they have a few beers from local breweries and fantastic coffee.
