There's a good reason there are all these 5 star reviews...because more stars arent available. So much thought went into the design of this property, tasteful and functional. The bed was comfortable (and I have chronic back issues so this alone would have had me leaning toward 5 stars). The room itself was perfection (nice space for clothes, clothing steamer and hair dryer, hot pot, complementary teas, coffees and snacks, nice (large) refrigerator which already had a welcome bottle of wine and seltzers). In short, lots of thought went into the comfort of the guests. And the bathroom was an exquisite design. Our only regret was not making it into the tub, but i had a hard time pulling myself out of the shower. Very nice common space which includes a Nespresso, water and ice dispenser, and more seltzers. There is wine and merchandise for purchase (in case you forgot a cap or sweatshirt or want a treasured remembrance). And 1st Street is relatively quiet and sets you up for easy walk to all that 3rd street offers. Also great hub for wine tasting and hiking. I really can't use enough superlatives and will be back. If you are reading this, you can stop here because you have found your home in McMinnville.

This place is incredible! Its a brand new, women owned, BEAUTIFUL inn set in a converted historic 1940s home. Its not your typical “Inn” - its like everything you love about the independence of an AirBNB and all the comforts of a hotel! The beds were spectacular, the shower, heavenly, the pastry spread on Saturday was splendid and I’m still dreaming it! They did a great job insulating and pumping in white noise so you don’t hear your neighbors. The shared spaces are fantastic for enjoying a glass of wine or relaxing and meeting new people. AND you are 2 blocks from 3rd street so you are a 5 min walk from amazing restaurants and tasting rooms! If you are looking for a unique and unbelievably comfortable place to stay in the heart of wine country - this is your place!!

This cute BnB surpassed all of our expectations! From the walkable location to downtown, to the carefully curated touches inside (a constant sound of white noise - loved it!), this place has it all. We were a group of 3 couples and had the upstairs to ourselves - and you could barely hear anyone around, and best of all we felt comfortable there. If you stay on the weekends they provide light pastries that are delicious! Thank you Christie for an amazing experience, and we can't wait to visit again!

Our experience at Compass was absolutely perfect. The house was just beautifully decorated and decked out with everything we could need for a 3 night stay in the valley. They have a wine library (aka a wine fridge where you can purchase bottles via the honor system), a large sitting area, a cozy breakfast space with plates/utensils/water/etc.

Our room was spacious, fitting a king bed, a desk, wardrobe, and a large shelf unit for storage. Our bathroom was immaculate and included a hair dryer and a really high quality clothing steamer (seriously, I am going to order the same one). The linens and bedding were very comfy and helped us get good nights sleep in preparation for walking everywhere we could.

Speaking of walking - the location is insanely convenient. We were literally a 4 minute walk to coffee and pastries, an 8 minute walk to the best paella, and a 20 minute drive to Antica Terra and Penner Ash. We could not have asked for a better hotel.

Not to mention, the staff were super helpful, responsive, and accommodating as we navigated 4 different reservations and showed up SUPER early. Thank you so much to the Compass for making our vacation truly...

What an incredible stay at The Compass! From the moment I arrived, I knew this place was special. I felt so comfortable and welcomed being there and that this will be a place where community is formed and connections will deepen for years to come. There are wonderful gathering spaces outside with a wrap around porch and a fabulous back patio - perfect for enjoying a glass of wine. Inside there is an adorable wine library and a common room that looks straight out of a magazine. I also truly enjoyed the delicious coffee and the pastries that were provided for breakfast…mouth watering. When you think it doesn’t get better, then you head to your room and realize it DOES! You can tell that such thought and energy went into perfecting every detail - from the luxurious linens to the enormous steamy shower I literally did not want to leave…it was wonderful! I cannot recommend this place enough and cannot wait...
