Main Street Pub 705 E. New Haven Ave., Melbourne, FL 32901 5 Stars Located in Historic Downtown Melbourne, in a building dating back to at least 1947, Main Street Pub opened in 2005 and they don't appear to be leaving anytime soon. This is one of those places you pass a million times and never give it a second thought. I am so glad the name popped up for review, forcing me to stop. This place is truly a hole in the wall. But what a wonderful hole it is! The service manager explained that they slow roast a bottom round daily and slice to order. I requested for one Pub Bleu Sandwich, and to appease those readers who insist that you will live longer avoiding red meat, I ordered one Tuna Salad Sandwich and a Caesar salad. Waiting for my grub, I enjoyed the history of the building I was in. Locals tell of a watering hole here in the 1800s; the actual location of this tale is just behind their Tiki Bar. Seriously cool if you're a history geek. It wasn't long before my chow was ready and after snapping a few pictures, I proceeded to the job at hand. One bite of the Pub Bleu and I knew the service manager to speak true (there is a song in there somewhere). I have never had Bleu cheese this fresh outside of a salad and that roast beef? Holy Bessie on a Rotisserie spit! It was spectacular! The Kaiser roll was just as fresh and the accompanying Au jus was to die for. What a sammich!! Forcing myself to stop at two bites as I had a job to do, not a maw to cram, I grabbed half of the Tuna Salad and took a healthy bite. This is outstanding. If they didn't catch the tuna that morning, I don't know their secret, but this had to be the freshest, tastiest tuna salad I have ever had grace my palate. My final choice was the Caesar salad. This item, like everything else, was made to order. Not only was the dressing spot on but the croutons were made on-site, NOT from Sysco. These immediately took me back to high school and the salad bar in the Senior Cafe at Mel Hi. Remember those croutons? When I leave a place that knows they have done an excellent job, they always invite me back. I usually make some excuses about having to do so many reviews when there is no time; however, I will make an exception for this place. If I possessed the power of Advowson, I would point this cook the Head Chef of Melbourne pubs. The Big Boy says, "Give 'em a try. This food is great. I will be back.

Mainstreet Pub is a soul-warming sanctuary, a 5-star retreat that feels like it’s been waiting just for you. Stepping inside, the soft glow of old lamps and the murmur of hushed conversations wrapped me in intimacy. Young, with his sly grin, welcomed me like an old friend, mixing a Tito’s and soda that hit crisp and clean, like a whispered secret. Matt, quieter but just as warm, leaned in with a knowing nod as he slid a Cuban sandwich my way—crusty bread, tangy pickles, and melty cheese pressed into pure comfort that felt crafted for that moment. Tucked in a cozy corner, their easy banter and genuine care turned the night into something truly special. It’s a place where time slows to a whisper, and I’m already aching to return.

I'm glad I popped in for a drink. Very neat pub - so many little areas to hang out. There's the small, main, indoor pub, a quaint side patio and a tiki bar out back with live music - it was a Saturday. From the tiki bar there's an open air staircase that leads back up to a second level. There you'll find another small, indoor bar and a sort of breezeway with deck like seating leading to a good size front porch that nests above the entrance with fantastic views of downtown. Each area has its own, unique vibe. I'm impressed with how they've creatively utilized space to maximize occupancy with eclectic style. I had a lot of fun just exploring the place and flowing with the changing vibes from space to space. I'll be back.

Main Street Bar and Pub is the most premier venue to come to in all of Brevard County, and especially in Downtown Melbourne! Main Street Bar and Pub has, not only one bar, but three bars. The first beautiful bar is located inside, and on the first floor, while the second beautiful bar is located upstairs, and patrons can walk outside to a deck for socializing and drinking, and have the gorgeous view of Downtown Melbourne which I especially recommend at night. The third beautiful bar is located outside, and is especially great for drinking and socializing whenever Mainstreet Pub has live music performances which one day I may be a part of as I'm an aspiring singer-songwriter. The staff here lead by the bartenders/servers, Keri and Christian always deliver superior customer value with value added every time I visit The Pub. All of the food is phenomenal, and as for me, I love to come in on Wednesday's and have Main Street's famous Kummelweck sandwich which is on special when I come in on this day. It's the most phenomenal Roast Beef sandwich that I've ever had! In addition, I always order a fresh squeezed orange juice as well. As for me, I've been to 6 countries, and I've been to many bars, but this is the only one who serves me fresh squeezed Orange Juice! Main Street Bar and Pub is World Class as a premier venue to come to for the service, food, ambience, and live music in...

Over the weekend I came to this place with a few friends all with the intention to have a good night. Things were going smoothly throughout the night and I was having a good time. The environment was interactive and entertaining but by the end of the night things would take a twist…. A RACIST TWIST! When the bar was closing, it was announced and as usual, everyone at the bar was in the process of leaving but still trying to finish their drink. Only difference between the seven-other people doing the EXACT SAME THING and I was the color of my skin. The bouncer came up to me and FORCEFULLY removed my drink from my hand with no direct warning. In my state of genuine confusion, I did not show any aggression towards him. He then proceeded to vehemently shove me out of the bar. Is this a depiction of the values of Main Street Pub? Why was I the only one subject to this physical abuse? Was this type of force even appropriate or necessary? Are Bouncers even LEGALLY authorized to use such forceful maneuvers on patronizers?

I am not one to play the race card but based on deductive reasoning I am left with no option. I have a dream... that one-day Mainstreet Pub will do...
