Food was okay, service was awful! My husband and I were seated at an outside table and waited at least 10 mins before a waitress showed up. We placed our drink orders and also ordered charbroiled oysters as an appetizer. She brought our drinks and we proceeded to order our entrees. We were there for a late lunch/early dinner so it wasn’t busy at all! About 40 minutes later we receive our meal by a “food runner.” I order the corn beef sandwich, which I asked the waitress what was on it and her response was “some kind of mustard, I’m not sure” 🙄, my husband ordered the fish and chips. Both were okay but not great. The last time we saw our waitress was when we ordered. No refills (which glasses had been empty for awhile), no checking to see if we needed anything. I actually had to walk inside to ask her for a refill. She was standing inside at a high top table talking and laughing with friends. We were so over this place by then, so while I was inside I asked for our check….yep, 10 mins later my husband gets a refill of water and the check! I told her that I wanted a refill as well and she said “no, you didn’t, I asked you” ummmm, no she didn’t, I had to go inside to ask for REFILLS! The fact that she argued infuriated us!! When she brought the check, you guessed it!! NO OYSTERS but we were charged for them! She never realized we didn’t receive our oysters!! She corrected the check, we paid, she brought the check back along with my water. Needless to say, her tip wasn’t anything great just like the service!!! Her name was Breonna? Breanna? This place is really good for the music and environment but as far as the food/service I would definitely...
Read moreTiffany, who was our waitress, was by far amazing, attentive, focused and probably the best waitress I've had in some time. This review in no way reflects on her! Stopped here to eat after being on an Elvis tour. Order pulled pork, mozzarella sticks, pizza.... Now, before I continue, this is more of a bar setting.
I will begin with the good, service was great, hands down amazing and it's a shame that they have someone there who cares about her profession and not back her up by offering a great experience.
The food was horrible, although I am an Executive Chef in NY, I try not to expect much from restaurants. But this place was bad, they claim 13 hour slow cooked pork, but it wasn't. It was bought already pulled from probably sysco, trust me I can tell. But even with that said, there was no effort for it to have any flavor at all! The beans were canned beans, the coleslaw was just horrible. The pizza which was frozen pizza, wasn't even up to the standard of public school pizza from NY. The Mozzarella sticks were just bad.
In an area where the BBQ should be some of the best, this place was a complete let down!
On a final note, the bathrooms were filthy, really bad, as if they weren't cleaned in many days, and I never really make comments on bathrooms, but this one was just plain disgusting, reminded me of the 80s in New York when people did heavy drugs in the bathroom. And in truth, any establishment that has such a filthy bathroom, speaks volumes for what the kitchen may look like.
The only reason why I'm giving this place 3 stars is only for Tiffany the waitress, because if it wasn't for the focused service she gave, I would have given...
Read moreWe stopped by after a concert at FedEx Forum. It was about 10:30. Our server was probably the worst we ever had. Initially she tried to deter us from ordering food as they only had “fried and grilled foods” at the time. What? Isn’t that the whole menu? She didn’t put in our appetizer, didn’t give us napkins, we waited too long between refills—we got our FOOD before our drinks—she kept trying to rush us out the door. When we wanted to ask about our appetizer and refills she played on her phone at the bar then tried to get us to pay out. Umm no we still want our other food! She watched us sit there after our meal then walk across the restaurant to sit at the other end of the bar for 15-20 minutes to chat with coworkers. Finally we got our check. She rang us up for chili cheese fries, we got regular cheese fries with some chili seasoning on them!!! That is NOT what the menu says. When I tried to argue my husband said no it can just come out of the measly tip she was going to get for the awful service. BUT THEY ADD 18% GRATUITY!!!!!! No wonder the service sucked so bad, she knew she was getting paid REGARDLESS. For this reason, I wouldn’t recommend or go back. Having an attentive server is part of the experience. I didn’t catch her name but probably a good thing because I would post that too to prevent anyone from having her.
My husband got the pulled pork plate and I got a brisket plate. We also got cheese fries. Everything was good, my brisket was a little overdone so not my favorite for that. They had dueling pianos which was very cool, probably the best thing about the place. Cool...
