If I had been reviewing this place last year, it would have been a higher review. Unfortunately for the past couple of months, Yellow Basket has gone done hill fast. For example, the past 4 times I've been there, they have gotten my order wrong, last night being the last time.
Even before that, they constantly would mess up my wife's burrito that she likes (Carne Asada burrito with just the meat, beans, and cheese with nothing else). They would throw in guacamole, sour cream, rice, etc that I would specifically tell them NOT to put in the burrito and would accurately show on my receipt. One cashier suggested order the classic burrito with carne asada without the rice, salsa, guacamole, and sour cream and maybe that would help. I did that and they finally got the order right. Problem was is that with my avocado burger that I ordered on that same order, they forgot to put avocado on my burger. I brought it back, but the cashier claimed I had to ask specifically to add avocado to my burger (avocado is in the title of an avocado burger!) Next time I went, I asked for a cheese burger and received no cheese.
The second to last time I went, when I talked to cashier about my order being wrong, they offered to put my name on a list to "make sure they get my order right next time." Wait! What? You mean if I don't have my name on a list, I probably won't get my order right? I declined. I called last night when they got my last order wrong again and the manager was about to offer the same thing when I hung up the phone. Ridiculous. What restaurant needs a list of people's names to make sure they get an order right?
I'm done with this place. It's a shame, because the food isn't bad (when you get the right order) for the price range. It's a little more expensive than a Carl's Jr., but you get a larger amount of food and better quality. Pointless when you can't get your right...
Read moreI have been a loyal customer for about 5 years now, and probably come to this location 1-2x per month. My coworkers also come here weekly, if not more often (we work next door). Given those details, I think we can give a fairly accurate review. Since coming here, I mostly call in my order ahead of time and pickup when it's ready. The staff answering the phone are always courteous, cheerful, and prompt. Same when picking up my food inside. Having been a food service manager before, I fully understand how busy and hectic it can't get some days. Fortunately, that never seems to impact service received here. I am always impressed at how awesome everyone is. They even go so far as to check labels on certain products to check for food allergens when asked (love that!). I think there is only one occasion where I did not receive what I expected (avocado in my breakfast quesadilla). There was avocado, just a very teeny slice that didn't justify the extra cost. Had I brought it to their attention I know they would have corrected that oversight. Otherwise, the food I get always meets my expectations. I usually get the gyro, BLT, fish and chips, chicken Caesar salad, Buffalo fries, #5, sausage breakfast burrito with their mild salsa, which has excellent flavor. They really have everything here. And again, want to express my gratitude for the friendliness and great customer service. There are days when we have a lot going on at work, and only get a few seconds to grab a bite to eat before having to do it all over again. Being so nicely greeted and treated by your staff makes those few seconds much nicer, really goes a long way! I wish other food establishments would...
Read moreManagement needs training. I ordered a turkey avocado melt on March 31, 2025. I got home and found I recieved a regular turkey sandwich. No avocado, no cheese and definitely not melted . I immediately called. The worker acknowledged the person making sandwiches did in fact set aside the wrong sandwich. He apologized, saying I could come back and switch out. I stated I was across town and if they could just note it, I would come in following day to get the melt. He checked with manager on duty. When worker got back on the phone he told me I needed to bring the wrong sandwich back to get a refund or new sandwich. I said why? It's your mistake and you all agree that it is. And why do I need to drive all the way back over there with the wrong sandwich. You going to give it to another customer ? Makes no sense. He stated that's policy. What this company doesn't get it " customers are always right" is the policy of any customer service establishment. Your customers are your business. It's the customers that you create your policy around. Unhappy customers are 10 times more likely to pass on their dislike of an establishment. The worst part is you , manager, have confirmed the mistake was made in house and do nothing to keep your customer happy. I've been in management for over 36 years. It doesn't ...
