I ordered today around 6:30pm through the app to make sure my order would be ready by the time I got there.
I arrived after 7, around 7:05pm.
The app stated I was second in line. I got inside and there were a few people in there. The girl working asked if we were all app orders and we said yes. She then began asking random people their names and looking up their orders. They were out of the semi-sweet chocolate chip and were asking people what they'd like to substitute. Some said the Oreo cookie, others said the buckeye.
After the first substitute was given, I believe to a guy named Jason, the app stated I was 1st in line.
I watched as two to three other people were served, in no particular order.
Around 7:20 she turned to me and asked my name. She announced they didn't have enough of the cookies I ordered to complete my order.
I asked for a refund immediately and stated I had ordered at 6:30pm.
The girl apologized, and I asked her who the manager was. She stated Jessica. I asked if there existed any contact information. She stated she couldn't give that out. I then asked how I'm suppose to get in contact with her, the girl responded by calling the store phone. I then said ok, when is the next time Jessica would be in? The girl responded Jessica has been sick and she had no idea when she'd be in.
She then said my money should go back to my card in three to five business days. She didn't offer me a receipt, she wasn't wearing a name tag and didn't give me a name, and she was being weirdly cagey about just letting me speak to a manager.
There's no reason it should take 50 minutes to pack an order of cookies, or why the cookies were being packed/given out of order.
I guess I'll just have to call everyday, but I also made sure to email the contact email on the app and leave a Yelp review. I'll figure out where to go from there if I...
Read moreLiz is one of the slowest people I have ever experienced on this planet. When I say slow i’m not only talking about how she moved as if her feet were weighed down by 2 buckets of butter, but also the way she holds a conversation. She only addressed the line that extended beyond the door twice, at least within the hour I waited. Both times it was to say how they weren’t taking any orders for the next 10 minutes. Maybe they’re right when they say they just hire anyone nowadays (and now getting paid $20/hr you’d think people would care). Now to the main issue I have. I came during the T-Mobile free cookie event on 11/2/24. I myself run a business and know what it’s like when special offers/promotions roll out, and what it takes to prepare for them. I also know how certain customers can behave when issues occur. This being said, if you are expecting to have an influx of customers that are exclusively looking for one item, is it not a wise idea to have prepared not only a regular supply, but maybe even a little extra?? Now, if I didn’t have to wait in line for almost an hour, just to be turned away with no solution/alternative I wouldn’t be leaving this review. Going forward I think the manager “Jessica” should try, Coaching the staff on how to notify customers when certain items become unavailable, or are out of stock. As to not have them waist time. Coach the staff on how to better supply customers with alternatives/options when items are out of stock. As to not have customers leave angry and dissatisfied 3.Hire staff that can move with a sense of urgency, while also being able to communicate with skills beyond a 2nd grade level.
All that being said the store could have been a little cleaner. There was trash on the floor and the cooking/preparation area was messy. Shoutout to the worker Ethan, he was amazing at knocking out...
Read moreAfter reading the reviews, we decided to try it for ourselves. They're located in the first part of the plaza on Newport Road and Haun Rd. right next to the Breakfast Club and a few stores down from See"s candy. This place was worth it and we will definitely be back! The cookies are about 4-5 inches in diameter. They were made fresh. The lady at the front said the regular chocolate chip and the sugar cookie are a staple flavor (they're always there). The other 4 flavors are different every single week. They sell ice cream as well in half pint size. They also cater--minimum 50 pieces. They're smaller though (regular sized like chips ahoy). I read someone's review that they split each cookie in 4 pieces. Great idea. We all got a chance to try each one. That was really filling. They were all good.
Suggestion to the owner: Maybe sell non dairy/lactose free milk and/or ice cream?
The downside about the interchanging flavors is that we wonder when they'll be serving them again-- because we have a favorite! Their sea salt toffee is my favorite! It definitely hits the sweet & salty mix. We also liked their peanut butter cookies & cream (it somewhat tastes like the BJ's oreo cookie pizooki). The Lucky Charm cookie was good too, but it was a little too sweet for me with the frosting. The mint brownie cookie felt like it came right out of the fridge. Unsure if that's how it's suppose to be?
The place wasn't as busy. We got there about 8pm. It didn't take more than 5 minutes to get...
