Starbucks — Restaurant in Merriam

I’m a regular at this location, and I love stopping by on my way to work in the mornings. The staff is usually friendly, and I appreciate how consistent the quality is. However, I’ve had a couple of frustrating experiences on weekends, especially in the late afternoon.

Twice now, I’ve had my drink made wrong, and the customer service was downright disappointing. The first time, I pointed out the mistake, and instead of remaking it, they dumped half the drink out and added a topping. When I asked if they could just remake it properly, the young guy behind the counter said, "No, it’s fine." The second time, they threw my drink away entirely and didn’t offer to remake it at all. I ended up having to go to a different Starbucks and rebuy it.

What’s even more frustrating is that both times, the store wasn’t busy at all—there were only three people just standing around. It wasn’t like they were overwhelmed with orders; they just didn’t seem to care about getting the order right or offering a solution. I get that mistakes happen, but the attitude was really dismissive and unprofessional.

I’ll continue going to this location during the week, but after these experiences, I’m hesitant to stop by on weekends again. It’s really disappointing when a place that’s usually so reliable drops the ball like this. I hope they work on their customer service, especially when it’s...

Very disappointed with my experience. There was miscommunication about the size I wanted for my drink and when I explained I wanted a grande, the barista glared and snapped, “You said tall.” and slammed the window in my face before I could apologize and ask to pay for a grande. When she returned with my drink the cup was full to the top with ice and I could tell she dumped my tall drink without any additional beverage. I’m a real coffee lover and Today I was told that new manager is running off the baristas, a handful of them quit all at once and my friend who works there quit today, it dawned on me, well no wonder yesterday he (new manager wit the dreads) and another girl were back there alone in the middle of a morning rush, usually that place is packed with baristas, this is so not cool, I’m standing up for those baristas because all of them must have a real reason for leaving, if at most they desire to just make coffee in a chill environment and some military dude comes along to...
