Denny's — Restaurant in Mesa

Used to take a couple ladies there for dinner every Friday night, staff was amazing fast and the food was good and it felt like an old-fashioned place to kind of hang out and it was always packed. The only thing I can say about it now is it's sad. Took my son there for supper tonight, and was waited on by a very loud obnoxious waitress who seemed to think it was cool to scream her opinions across the restaurant. I requested that they not put the salt butter that they normally spread liberally cross the salmon because I'm trying to eat less salt and it's supposed to be a healthy meal. She proceeded to yell this at the cook . Then They carried on a loud conversation about how stinky salmon is and how much they dislike it. If I wanted to hear everybody's conversations I would go to a bar. Where I expect a loud wait staff. This used to be a thriving busy restaurant that was packed Friday and Saturday and Sunday. I understand covid is done damage but this is sad and the group of people that they have waiting there is very sad I could hear every conversation that they were having as if I was standing right next to them on how they wanted to go home and watch Netflix and eat ice cream. I don't knock somebody wanting to have a good time but I go to eat at a restaurant to relax and have a good meal not the about the opinion of the cook and the waitress and how much they dislike the food that I'm eating. Needless to say we won't be back oh, and the lack of cars in the parking lot unless management doesn't do something soon doesn't bode well for this Denny's future. Needless to say the waitress...

I used to love this place but now it’s definitely not even worth the drive it was absolutely horrible we walk in it takes probably at least 15 minutes just to get seated then we ordered the drinks the waitress brought one of the drinks as the wrong drink we blew it off but then it took them almost 30 minutes to come to our table and take our orders and to make things clear the place barely had anyone there anyway we get our food and the prices are crazy for small portions then we wait about 15ish minutes for the food then we get all our food except for some birthday pancakes and we wait about 15ish more minutes so my mom gets up and asks them about them then a different waitress brings them, as I’m eating my salad I’m having to pull out black and brown pieces of lettuce then my mom said her sausage was cold and my cousin had a barley warmed up burger with the grossest avocado and whilst all this is happening the whole time we didn’t get refills then we ask for a to go box and we wait about 10 minutes and at this point my mom is fed up and we are all done eating what was edible my mom got up and asked for the check and it was my moms birthday so she downloaded the app expecting her food free cause that’s what they used to do and it didn’t even take half of the price off and to top it all off one of the only cooks there was sitting outside with a waitress and the waitress was telling the cook how all day has been bad would not recommend anyone to go here oh also we...

Not sure on the spelling, however an African American waitress going by the name Alicia was not the most pleasant during my dining experience tonight. It started decent and we got our drinks, she said she’d be right back to take our order while on her way to help customers across the barrier. She took a unnecessary amount of time doing this. After being helped she came back relatively fast with the food. My meal was missing the dinner bread included, I did not want to say anything. I even heard the manager ask who’s bread was sitting up on the counter. No one at the table wanted to drink more than our glass of water due to we probably wouldn’t get a fill up in time. Minutes pass and she stops by with our check, does not ask if we want refills or boxes. We had to get up and ask for a box, manager was informed about how good the food was and service couldn’t compare.
