We came to this McDonald's a few times to use the app for the Monday frappe deal. Tonight we arrived about 9 pm, the restaurant has customers but isn't overly busy. Out in the parking lot are two maybe three cars with what appears to be 20 something year old hanging around, doing tricks and flipping skateboards. If you know this parking lot, there is not room for this nonsense but nobody chased them off. We felt the need to sit by the window to watch our vehicle in case it got hit by a skateboards. Inside, I was greeted by a gentleman maybe late 40's or 50's at the register, he was fabulous! Ordered for my spouse then ordered for myself. Our order of a cone, rolo flurry, frappe and large drink were just fine and completed promptly. Drinks are fillable out on the floor for the customer, always a plus so you don't have to get back in line. This McDonald's was redone a few years ago so it looks very nice inside. As we were eating, a group of cleaning people arrived and did a thorough cleaning of the children's play structure from top to bottom. I had a perfect view and I must say, I was VERY impressed by the cleaners! Two woman had headlights on their heads and were inside the play structure cleaning every inch with disenfectint. A gentleman was dusting and vacuuming the outside. I finally got up and asked the gentleman just how often the do this. He said they do this very deep clean every two weeks at 11 local McDonald's. If I had children or grandchildren, I certainly would know this McDonald's owner cares about keeping the play area clean and sanitized for them! The bathroom for the women is also very clean and handicapped accessible. My only complaint is once again, another restaurant not putting toilet paper directly into the dispenser roller. Our only other issue is the parking lot which is an awful design. Too small for a busy McDonald's. Being we need a handicapped space and we come at night, we find it a real issue to be asked to move our vehicle out of the handicapped spot because the delivery vehicle is coming!! My husband is having a horrible time walking and you want us to park farther away so a delivery truck can drop off the food. Poor planning on McDonald's part. Thankfully tonight, we got the furthest handicapped parking spot and weren't asked to move when the truck arrived at 9:55 pm. Otherwise, I give this a full four stars. Great employees and good food. Clean and I recommend stopping here if you want to go...
Read moreWas here this morning and the manager Marissa is absolutely destroying the establishment's crew's motivation and atmosphere while simultaneously doing nothing to help. There were at least a dozen people waiting for their food, my friend and I personally waited 30 minutes for her frappe. About 5 minutes into our wait, our favorite employee (I cannot remember his name but he does the little jingle for every car when you visit him in the drive thru and is an absolute joy) was making her frappe and let her know it would be done in a moment. Marissa then yelled at him and told him to get back to drive thru, that they didn't need more people up front and did not herself step in to see what he was helping with or why they might have needed help up front. This caused our order to be completely overlooked. I then waited at the front for the next 20 minutes after she had ruined the chipper mood of the restaurant instantly. There was dozens waiting with me for their food as well, as now no one was up front running or preparing food. Marissa walked by the front counter twice on her phone, didn't look up once at her customers and toodled on to the back while barking orders and not doing a single thing to actually help her team that was clearly struggling and in need of direction. I had to grab the very busy cashier and ask to speak to the manager directly in order to get her attention. I explained our situation to the manager and she was extremely short and seemed almost annoyed that I took her away from her Instagram scroll session. She had no name tag on so I had to ask for her name, which also made her seem even more annoyed. I have been going to this location for awhile now and there is a notable difference when this manager is leading a shift vs when she is not, there are a lot of really great employees that work here and service is usually great but by the time i left the entire dining room was upset with how long their food was taking. I hope she learns how to better run her team, this was extremely hard to watch and i felt terrible for everyone back there being treated terribly by...
Read moreI recently had the most absurd encounter at McDonald's that compelled me to share my dismay with the world. I stopped by for a quick refreshment and asked for a large cup of water. To my disbelief, I was told that I had to shell out a staggering $1.49 for a cup of tap water! Yes, you read that right – water, the most basic and essential drink, priced like it's a premium beverage.
I understand that businesses need to turn a profit, but charging such an exorbitant amount for a simple cup of water is not only ridiculous but also downright offensive. McDonald's has always been synonymous with affordability, but this experience left me questioning their commitment to customer satisfaction.
In comparison, you can walk into any grocery store and purchase five whole gallons of water for the same price McDonald's is charging for a single cup. It's mind-boggling how the value proposition is so skewed at this fast-food giant. I'd rather quench my thirst elsewhere, where they don't see the opportunity to exploit a basic human necessity.
Not only did this experience leave a bad taste in my mouth (no pun intended), but it also tarnished the image of McDonald's as a place that prioritizes customer well-being over profit margins. I expected more from a brand that has been a cornerstone of fast-food culture for decades.
In conclusion, save your hard-earned dollars and head to a more reasonable establishment for your hydration needs. There are plenty of options that won't leave you feeling like you've been taken advantage of. Shame on you, McDonald's, for putting a price tag on something as...
