Hotel itself was nice and decent... we got a room with 2 double beds and in the room amenities were a flat screen tv, small fridge, and some towels.. that’s about it... bathroom is kind of small with no hair dryer... Right across the beach which was nice Front desk was a lot of help and they were nice The restaurant apart of the hotel was OK We decided on our first morning there to try breakfast it was okay we did get the 40% off for staying at the hotel waiter was nice and made sure to check on us We tried for lunch again but this time we got a different waiter He basically sat us down, took our order and never saw him again unless we called for him He was mostly on the side walk talking to people and trying to get people passing by to eat at the restaurant Lunch was not that good... bland and no taste For the price we payed.. we decided not to eat there anymore and ate at other restaurants The music is loud from morning to night You can hardly hear the person next to you talking One thing that annoyed me is everything time I wanted to get to my room or leave the hotel We kept getting asked if we wanted seats and to eat again... which was a no every time Kinda wished the restaurant was on the side of the hotel And not right in the middle of the entrance of the hotel Unfortunately For these reasons when I come back I will not be staying here And will pick another hotel

Amidst dozens of restaurants and shops, next door to a 24hr CVS and walking distance to clubs, restaurants, bars and across the street from the beach it was Awesome! The rooms modernness far surpassed the aged look of the hallways. It was spotless and large, the bed was comfortable and the pillows huge and cozy. Refrigerator in the room and open shower that could fit four. The elevator is small and older with a noisy sliding gate, but this being post CoVid, it helped keep people from overcrowding, plus the staircases are short, so it wasn't a hardship for me. Conveniently across the street from the beach [which you can be topless on ladies btw ;)] & they provided free towels daily at the front desk for swimming on that beach, where you can rent a beach chair and umbrella or tent for the day from a small white hut. There were tables in the Colony Hotel lobby for a meal with a view and after I checked out, they let me sit for awhile, and even held my luggage till I was able to head out safely. The staff was professional, courteous and truly concerned about all guest's safety and serviceable to that end. Walk over to Washington Ave and discover the shops and delis for inexpensive meal options and groceries. There were even several tattoo shops open till late. 5⭐'s

The bar in the front is a total tourist rip off. They lure you in with the promise of a free shot or two, or a buy one get one free special. The "special" drink is a giant margarita with two Coronas in it. They make sure to push that drink on you and with hold the menu. The guy offering it reminded me of a Sleezy car salesman, or strip club manager. They have a attractive girl on the sidewalk luring people in, and anyone stopping to talk to her about the specials gets immediately pursued by the aggressive guy. The "special" drink is $65 each and very weak which is why they offer a free shot as a distraction. As soon as you get the bill 2 large bouncer guys appear to stand close by and intimidate customers who are upset. After we were duped, we stayed and watch the process happen over and over. This is a common tourist con over seas but I was surprised it was happening here in Miami. The mood changes as soon as the check arrives at each table from way too over aggressive and courteous to rude and threatening. When we questioned the price he claimed to be the manager, and literally stood over us until we paid and him and his bouncers were very threatening in their mannerisms. Don't go here.

AVOID THIS HOTEL BY ALL COST. I wish there was a way I could leave a review without giving this hotel a starve it does not deserve a star or to even be on the boardwalk there's a couple things that I like to point out when I leave a review out of all fairness so with this review I am going to break it down into numbers and we're going to start off with the things that I like the most about this place down to number 10 to things that I liked it worse about this place you make your own judgement The DJ play very good music that hyped you up on you came in The hotel smell good when you walked in You cannot check in early there is no such thing here if your check-in is at 4 you can not check in at 3:59 it is not going to happen and if you do try to check in at 3:15 I even 3:30 they're going to charge us $75 fee which isn't feasible for more tourist that are coming in. We arrive early and but we decided to go to the beach we were told to change our clothes we had to leave out the side door around the building down the pathway which had a large puddle of water into the bottom of their building which looked like their basement to their washroom to change your clothes yes we both quit up to go down there to change your clothes when we were down there I noticed a bunch of little brown bugs in a few big books these bugs were cockroaches and mainly I was disgusted and went back to the front desk and passed the attendant a note that said just a FYI I just wanted to let you know that there were cockroaches in the washroom in the women's washroom so they would be aware if they were not when I was leaving out I seen one of the workers coming out a door open area which was the kitchen. As I begin to explain to him what I seen he told me that my sister had already alerted him and they were going to take care of the issue which I found that was not going to be true because to get rid of cockroaches you would need to bomb the entire building. I figured that this was something that they already knew about being that he was very passive about the situation. it was time to check in and go up to our rooms Elevators do not work The room smelled of mildew **7. BED INSPECTION- THEY HAVE BED BUGS Whenever I do the bed inspection the first thing I do is look over the top of it and see if I see any black specks any red specks anything that can make me know that there are signs of please fleas bed bugs rodents or any insects or uncleanness and this was one of those situations. Literally seen one so I was so surprised that it literally scared me of what I was seeing I was totally not expecting it they were there and you could not miss them. I immediately left the room and took my belongings with me and as I left the room and got to the stairwells to pull my bags down the stairs I ran directly into my sister and ask her what was she going and she told me that she had a problem with her bed and she was going to speak with the manager I said I also did as we went down to speak with the manager the manager immediately took her keys and said that we cannot go back into the room until it was recleaned. Re-cleaning the room was not an option for us. My brother which had his own room ask the manager to come and see what his issue was in the manager seen them and said that it was only 1 bed bug that he seen and that it should be fine😡😡😡 He continue to offer us another room while the ones we were in get cleaned and the sheets changed. THIS WAS NOT AN OPTION Took more than 1hr for the manager to decide that he was going to refund our entire party our money. THERE WERE 3 mattresses that were laid on the side of the building that we pay no attention to when we arrived. Pictures coming...

I feel compelled to share my story after hearing all the recent stories about trafficking women. I stayed at the hotel august 23-25 of 2022 with an extension to the 26. Initially, it was me and toddler child that stayed here and I felt comfortable because of the close proximity to the beach & walking distance to other attractions. As I checked in with a guy (older foreign male) he was very polite and looking back very complimentary and just seemed curious about my coming & goings. On the last day I stayed, my daughter went back to our hometown with a family member that joined us on the trip to give me some "me" time. The attendant at the front desk knew I was alone because he extended my reservation and saw my daughter & her grandmother leave. Last day there, I wanted to explore so I asked him about boat tours. To my surprise, he offered a concierge service that he knew about to the boat tours & the 20$ cash (red flag-because no paper trail, receipt, etc,) I gave him was supposed to cover the concierge & the tour. Once I agreed, he called somebody and spoke in his native language and told them I was alone (2nd red flag) other red it was a black van that was supposed to pick me up a few blocks over on a random corner instead of in front of the hotel. So, I played along and I ended driving myself to the Bayside Marketplace & booking the boat tours online when I arrived. I often think about what may have happened if I would've took that offer & got picked up by somebody referred to by the hotel staff. It's no doubt in my mind that the employee did not have good intentions after replaying the scenario in my head & I think about how many young women that may have thought this was a trustworthy person because their hotel staff. My advice is to simply be careful & vigilant & don't trust anyone-especially the hotel staff because who knows what could've happened to me. At the time, I was a young black female in my 20s just trying to explore the city. & just like that-things happen. When I visited in 24 this staffer was no longer present but the experience I had gives me chills looking back. Thank God for intuition & discernment. Needless to say, The staffer appeared very shocked when I returned, as if he wasn't expecting me sadly & I didn't report him immediately because I was scared so I'm just here to warn all of you ladies visiting in a small group or even alone! I like this hotel due to the location, price, & restaurant but please be careful. My last visit was with a group & not...

BE AWARE!! The location of the hotel is great! However that’s about the only thing. The shower is so small you can’t turn around in it and the shower curtain is so close it’s touching you. To me, that is unsanitary. It was very loud in the morning (dump trucks and workers) while you’re trying to sleep. Beyond the rooms.. there is a restaurant that is at the hotel...this so called welcoming and fun restaurant is beyond ridiculous. What I mean by this is- my fiancé and I were walking out of the hotel to walk ocean dr and we are stopped by not only one but THREE employees saying to us, “Two for one drinks and a free shot!!” So as would many do, we said okay and sat down to enjoy what was being offered to us. What you are not told is the size of the drink nor the cost of the 2-4-1 drinks you’re being offered. So you get the largest drink they have which to the eye looks like a great deal! We had our first drink and when it was coming time to get our second drink AND free shot we were asked to get up from our table and get it from the bar. Which was rude. As soon as they stopped making money THEY THOUGHT from us, we were asked to get up from the table so they could flip it again and make money.. Understandable to a point but we had planned to eat..at that point we changed our minds. We received our check- mind you WITHOUT FOOD- and it was $151 which included gratuity!!! So no matter if you’re rushed out of your seat or your service sucks you are having gratuity added. I have never in my life had gratuity added to a tab of TWO drinks and I have been all over the country as well as out of the country many times. Absolutely absurd and what they give you is the cheapest grade of alcohol you can buy.. Yes you are on South Beach and yes you expect from the cost to be more. But I as well as many others we observed , expected to get what you’re paying for. We watched 5 other groups experience the same thing we did and they all went from enjoying the atmosphere, music and weather to being completely pissed off and requesting a manager who didn’t do anything and even to one group said “speak to your server”and basically waived them away. To me that is horrible management and not a way to treat customers who are helping create your living. I would not recommend this hotel nor restaurant to anyone I know and it is a shame. BEWARE AND BOOK ELSEWHERE! Trust me-...
