My husband and I were looking for a place to eat where we could also watch football in South Beach. I had worked all morning without having anything to eat since 11 the night before due to being a flight attendant and experiencing flight delays. We went right out to find a place after I landed. Originally we were going to Ted’s Hideaway then tried Mickey Bourkes but none had tables open to offer so we went to Finnigans Way. We were told by Gigi at the front that outside was closed even with about 4 tables open and that we can check inside with the bartender. When trying to check with the bartender just to ask if one table we saw was open or not she snapped at my husband after he said excuse me saying that she already had 4 things she was doing without even hearing his question. We sat down at the table anyway hoping that we could find out that way and were glad to move if it was already taken but with me being hungry we were really hopeful. We waited for about 10 minutes then saw a table get up outside that Gigi was clearing and asked if we could have it due to no one waiting but he responded that because it was a 5 top he wouldn’t let us sit there even though 2 people were just sitting there previously. He made rude comments about how he told us to go inside and not outside so my husband went to go speak with a manager about the experience so far and just to get our question finally answered. Seeing that I was sitting at the table inside the manager started yelling at us about sitting at a reserved table and then demanding us to leave. I pleaded with him that I have not eaten and we tried to also explain the horrible experience but he was very rude and causing an unnecessary scene yelling and using profanities. This drew the attention of another table of patrons who invited us to sit with them but the manager was still yelling at us and telling us we could not stay. Another manager eventually came up to us and told us she would take care of us and we could stay at that table we were invited to. She was very sweet but the other manager started threatening her and telling her to leave making her cry even. I decided I no longer felt comfortable or could trust the other manager not to mess with our food or drinks so we ended up leaving in the end. I have NEVER seen or experienced a place treating customers like this. I highly recommend new staff except for the one female manager that I wish I would have gotten her name because she deserves better. I will never come here again and recommend that no one does especially since it appears in the reviews that this isn’t the first time they have failed to deliver simple, kind customer service when it’s literally the easiest...
Read moreBEWARE..BEWARE..BEWARE. Was in South Beach for our engagement celebratation. We went to Finnegan's south beach two days in a row. It seemed trendy and fun..good atmosphere. First day we spent around $450 on lunch, dinner and drinks. Decided to go back next day.. completely different story.
First, they were not that busy..about half full. It takes 30 minutes for any wait staff to serve our table. Which wasn't the last straw or anything..we're patient. While we're sitting there two other groups of people come in..are set at a table..and then leave after no one helps them. An older couple come and also get really terrible service. Starting to get bad vibes from the wait staff.
Staff finally come after we flag them down, service is bad so we ask to be seated at the bar.. thinking the service will be better. Literally only 6 people at the bar and the bar server will just not come get us drinks. We also watch the bartender tell people she won't make their drinks..at this point getting stronger bad vibes. Another 45 minutes later we basically have to flag her down from flirting with some patrons in the middle of the bar. Our order comes even later and food was cold. She notices we aren't eating and asks why, tell her the foods no good.
Bartender then proceeds to berate my fiance on how their service has been so amazing and people come to that bar "just to see her.. because she's so amazing" when I tell her listen I've spent like $600 here by now with lame service, the bartender continues shouting at us very bizarrely.
We then ask to speak to her manager which at first she refuses..rolls her eyes..whatever. When the manager finally comes, she is apologtic which I appreciate, but blames the bad service on their mediocre busy time. Offers to refund us the "optional mandatory tip". Which was a complete joke.
We tipped the original server very well, which she thanked us for. But will never ever go here again and will tell anyone that asks the same.
Not sure if your bartender was drunk or what but offering no service and attacking us in your establishment was not what we wanted for a nice evening on south beach. Especially after spending that kind of money with you.
Please hire people that have less attitude and more class. You guys almost ruined the...
Read moreThere is a Miami curfew due to covid at 12am which I understand. My boyfriend and I literally came to this spot because they were promoting a UFC fight, they even had a sign. Was one of the only spots we could find with a paper view fight. If I would of known I would of bought the paper view myself at our hotel before coming here. I understand you have to close due to covid but you mean to tell me you can’t leave it open for 20 more minutes when the main fight you are promoting is why we even consumed in the first place. We wouldn’t have came at 8pm to get good seats to get kicked out. We would of liked if you would of let us know at 11pm an announcement that “hey we won’t be playing the fight” when everyone came there for basically just that. They literally had a sign promoting it. That way I would of stop spending my money for no reason. It’s the finesse that really bothered me, just let us know ahead of time. You clearly could see online that there is more fights coming before the main one, I’m not disappointed on the servers they worked really hard non stop, it’s the manager/ owner that really disappointed me and because of the finesse I will never come back here. The servers work hard and deserve more than a “VOLUNTARILY 18%” said the check, I’ve been to many Miami restaurants here and everything says included whether it’s 18% or 20%, which I completely agree and for all the bs they deal with. Even the menu says you could dispute it if you wanted to.Take care of your staff, it should be...
