Won VIP tickets for the Chef Showdown courtesy of Yelp Miami which was such a blessing cause this was a fabulous event. It was held at Lummus Park beachside, same as the previous ones. Check in was easy and fast. Surprisingly no line! Whoop Whoop!
Not sure how many vendors were there but I know for a fact that we went to every single one. My favorite ones were the oysters from Shelborne and Lure Fish Bar. There's also one vendor serving delicious steaks which I think it was Meat Market. I also loved the succulent sushi they were serving at Tanuki. We also got to try some gorgeous wines from Talbott Vineyard followed by some tequila cocktails and shots from Herradura. Overall, all the vendors brought there "A" game so there was not one food that we didn't like :)
The actual competition was pretty fierce and intense. Everybody ended by stage cheering loudly towards the end of the night. Congrats to the winners!
It was such a great experience and very filling one. Vendors were well prepared. Event was very organized. Not too crowded so no long wait for food. The seating area at Talbot Vineyard was lovely. Another bonus was the beautiful weather. What a night...
Read moreThis event gets bigger and better every year. Endless food options, live music on several stages, and an all-day open bar. This year there were so many bar tents that the lines for drinks in GA were much shorter than previous years. And in VIP, no lines at all and lots of included (a.k.a. free) food options. You’re at the beach (literally on the sand), so of course you expect lots of sun & heat, but they had lots of shaded areas. Dress appropriately for the beach: shorts, sandals, t-shirt, cap, etc. and you’ll be good; this isn’t an evening gala so anything fancier and you’ll probably regret it. If you get your tickets early, you get the best deals. If not, lots of 20% off codes (like SPIDEY) are...
Read moreI will never go again. I have gone 3 years in a row and it just keep getting worse. I pay $300 for 2 ticket in the VIP and this year I still end up paying over $220 just for food. In the past at least the VIP had 4 free food area compare to the GA tickets. Almost everywhere in and out of the VIP you had to pay for food and the only diffrence is no line in the VIP and a place to sit. People Trust me and save your money for the real deal " SOUTH BEACH FOOD AND WINE FESTIVAL" you dont have to spend a dime at any food or drink station and they dont run out of food, drinks or goody bags. This was just so bad, really bad. I was disappointed and embarrassed...
