Mi Tierra is one of those "no frills, lets chill kinda day" in the neighborhood places. Iv visited a few times but opted for take out. My usual order is the beef soup with a side order of tostones and guacamole. Never been disappointed yet by this knockout combo. The soup is hearty, the meat is tender and the price makes it even better. . With this said I decided to take a chance and try something a little different. I dined in. I ordered margaritas, and their Monday special, grilled chicken and lentil soup. . Soup- came with beef in it. Good flavor. Will add this to my future orders. Grilled Chicken- small amount of chicken but decent flavor . It was a simple yet effective taste. Like I said no frills. Would order again. Margaritas-Okay as well. No frills, might be a premade mix. A bit salty. I felt like there was salt in the glass and not just on the rim. Skip the salt if you are sensitive to it. For $7 it served it's purpose. . The service is always very good hear. Will be back to test other items. Slowly, because I like my usual order. But we have to stay hungry for new experiences, so Mi Tierra I'll see you again. Till next time...

*Tip is included. I went for the third time last night and realized that the tip is included. Also, yesterday's service was terrible.

Venue: My mom and I have lived near this place for a long time and it is the first time we come in. The place is clean and very rustic (which Zi live because it reminded me the little places we used to eat at when I was a little girl back in my country). Food & drinks: I had la Bandeja Paisa - steak, chorizo, fried egg, mini arepa, white rice, chicharrón, and a sus of beans ... & a freshly made lemonade without sugar and American coffee. Everything was delicious. My mom had the sancocho, which is a soup served in a large bowl with meat and corn cob. My son had the chicken nuggets w fries, he finished all the nuggets! I bet they were good. Service: The service was really good. They were attentive, nice and very knowledgeable about the menu. All I'm gonna say now is that I found a new...

Food came about 10 minutes before the person I was sitting with got theirs not a big deal but not a great start. Wrong food was brought out and when they brought it back it was missing another side that was on the plate before. As I waited a second time for another 10 minutes to make a Chicharron that apparently walked off the plate, the waitress was inside laughing and hiding to check her phone. Another time a waitress brought me Avocado instead of sausage as a side and when the food came out I told her she had made a mistake and I was surprised when she kept insisting the mistake was mine and that she swore thats what I ordered. ( I dont eat Avocado so theres that and why are you arguing with a customer about anything?)I am only writing this review because it was my third bad experience. The waitresses don't care to be attentive because their tip is already...

We stopped by Mi Tierra for dinner and left a little disappointed. We ordered the Bandeja paisa with carne asada. The steak was ok, not much flavor, the beans were very bland as well as the rice. They gave me patacones instead of plantain and no avocado. The chicharrón, arepa and chorizo were delicious but everything else was lacking flavor We also ordered the Lomo saltado and it definitely wasn’t worth the price. The steak had good flavor but it was tough, not the best but not the worst either. Service was ok too which in our opinion always makes or breaks the experience. The outdoor chairs were so uncomfortable we couldn’t wait to finish because our backs hurt whilst eating.
