Came here last Week, haven’t had time to leave a Review, about this Place, Restaurant Concept is really nice, atmosphere Agradable, the Guy that is working as Host Incredible, He knows what he is doing, have a lot knowledge about Food and Drinks, Well at the time my friend and I sit down, restaurant was not to busy but We waited a little to the Server to come to our table, at the time She came she did not introduce herself, she just came like are you ready to order????? Starting At that point I realized that She don’t know how to be a Server, there is a big difference between a Server and a Order Taker, If I want someone to just take my order I could go to Macdonald, For Servers is important to make night sells and bring good Service, so in every point is good for them and for the Restaurant also I was here to Spend Money, but I think She got the Job just because was able to speak English! So well since she did not offer us Drinks, Appetizer and Entre, we decided to take a look at the menu, then We decide for a Parrillada for 2, wine and a Beer, I was waiting for her to offer me an Appetizer but it did not happened, another point also when costumer order food for example a Parrillada many people doesn’t take the time to read the menu before leaving the table the server is supposed to Describe the items, Then we got our drinks, since we didn’t have an appetizer did not get bread until we ask for it, also I had to ask for the olive oil, vinegar and butter otherwise I could get the bread itself, Then the Parrillada arrived to our table, And I was like where is the Chimichurri???? So I wait around 5 minutes to my server come to the table and ask for Chimichurri, if You have guest that order a Parrillada is smart that you bring the Chimichurri before Parrillada Arrive, To be honest food was Good, can’t complain at all, Then We finish our drink and wanted to order a couple more but we didn’t see our Server, then She came to our table remove the plates and Bring the Check, We paid also 18% Service Charge is include like in all Miami Beach but we also Give an Extra Tip, so Next time She can try to Improve her Service for another Guests Ether way I might be right back...
Read moreThe staff here needs much better training on food allergies. When ordering, we asked our server if the grilled vegetables had carrots, as one member of the party had a food allergy. He said no, he couldn’t quite tell us what the veggies included, other than zucchini, but was certain there were no carrots. We ordered two steaks, asked to sub the sides for grilled veggies and a salad for each of us. When the food came, we received one salad, two mashed potatoes, two orders of fries, and one order of grilled veggies. We let the server know he could take back the mashed potatoes and fries, but we still needed one order of veggies. When the second order of veggies arrived, it was clear there were carrots on top. On the first order that the guest with the allergy received, they were mixed in and were not as evident. The server went and said something to another server then came back and told us what we had already noticed. He was apologetic, but an apology only goes so far when we are talking about a deadly food allergy. Luckily, her allergies are delayed so we had time to use an epi pen and Benadryl, however, we had many other plans for the day that we are now unable to do because she is suffering from effects of the reaction. This was an absolutely careless mistake that could have been avoided. Again, luckily anaphylactic shock for her is delayed, otherwise it would have happened at the restaurant. The server also should have been more knowledgeable about the menu. Very disappointed that we are now eating $115 meal back in the hotel room so she was able to administer her epi and Benadryl. Please be sure servers are trained to know the menu so this doesn’t happen again. This could have been a life or death situation. I would have loved to talk to a manager while we were there but she had to get to her medicine to prevent a hospital trip. This was a...
Read moreThis review is long over due, but it needs to be said, I’m in wonderment. I visited this restaurant earlier this month with my wife. While on Vacation / Job in Miami, you can say business with a hint of Taverna pleasure . We’ve had our hearts set on a Authentic Delicious Italian food place since the wheels hit the runway. While on a lovely stroll down Lincoln Rd plaza/mall we came across this superb restaurant. Instantaneously we were greeted at the door by a lovely wholesome host and shown to our table of two (next to beautiful fountain) our amazing and spectacular waiter arrived as soon as we sat down.
Rodrigo,May I say this waiter is one of the best waiters I’ve ever experienced having and a pleasure to have. This gentleman, went above and beyond to get me a side of pasta because of my undoubting question as to why the chicken paramgina was served without pasta. The attentiveness the alertness and the plane and simple excellent service made by this gentleman made my experience at The Taverna one of the most unforgettable experiences in my life.
Born and raised in New Jersey, Italian food is common. But allow me to say, New Jersey has nothing on the greatness of The Taverna, from the service to the food. If six stars is an option. I would give it 1000 times over.
Any person that I know going to Miami. This is the place to go. And the place I will refer anyone and everyone I know.
Bravo Taverna Bravo, Keep doing great food giving great service and making us the customers, the center of your business🙌🏻❤️
I’ll see you soon all the way from...
