Miami Beach Community Church — Attraction in Miami Beach

One of the highlights of our week, each week, is attending Sunday morning worship service at Miami Beach Community Church. The reasons are many. We have great respect for Pastor Thompson who always delivers an inspirational sermon. He is one of the most dynamic speakers you will hear anywhere. He preaches from the heart and is not one to stand in the pulpit reciting church dogma. It's not at all unusual for the congregation to break into applause at the end of Pastor Thompson's sermon ! My wife and I always leave the service spiritually inspired. Another wonderful aspect of this church is the openness and friendliness the minute you arrive. We have gotten to know several people with ease. The music week after week is awesome thanks to incredibly talented singers. The church has many programs and we participate in Matthew 25 which feeds the homeless and those who are food insecure. A multi million dollar restoration of the church is starting and is so exciting! The structure will be restored to historical beauty and detail. It'll be awesome to see when finished and I'm thinking it'll be the most exacting restoration and preservation of any building on Lincoln Road. Everyone in Miami Beach and beyond should be delighted with what's about to happen. Pastor Thompson is the leading force behind all that's being accomplished including big strides in community involvement and social justice issues. He has even testified at the Florida legislature on behalf of gay, lesbian , bisexual and transgender persons. He provides leadership by example . As you can see I am very impressed with this church, staff and members. Minister Cynthia does an amazing job working with a variety of duties and is truly an inspiration to anyone who knows her. Today was our 2nd Sunday visiting the Miami Beach Community Church. What a wonderful place to worship! The Praise Team/choir is outstanding! Pastor Cynthia is so upbeat and preaches a good sermon! The parishioners are very friendly and the group is very diverse in ethnicity, orientation and age. Beautiful worship space. Great air conditioning! My Husband and I travel back and forth to Miami from CT. For many years I walked by this church, either ot was closed or We didn't have time to stop in for Service.
