Well, I reckon it’s been a good while since I’ve had a mind to bring this matter to the public eye, but it's been sitting heavy on my heart. Back in 2015, on a warm afternoon, I made my way through the drive-thru at the Pollo Tropical on [location]. Now, I do believe in the value of good manners and proper conduct, especially when it comes to dealing with folks who are just trying to do their work and serve a meal. But what I experienced that day, courtesy of one "Brandon," was downright disrespectful, and I’ve yet to forget it.
I had just finished placing my order, when, as I went to receive my change, this young man—Brandon, as it turns out—had the audacity to fumble the coins and drop them right into my lap. As if that weren’t enough, he found it most amusing, laughing as though it were some grand joke. I couldn’t for the life of me understand why he would find such a thing funny. It wasn’t a slight inconvenience for me, mind you, but rather a matter of simple respect. I may not have my full jaw intact these days, thanks to a rough patch in my life, but I’m still a man of dignity and grace. That laugh? Well, it was an insult, plain and simple.
I’ve worked my share of long days, and I don’t much care for those who fail to take their work seriously. But to show such disregard for a paying customer, well, that’s something that sticks in your mind. I can take a mistake, even a clumsy one. What I can’t stomach is mockery, especially when it’s at my expense.
I reckon Brandon might’ve thought it was just a harmless slip-up, but that kind of behavior reflects poorly on the establishment, and it's left me with a sour taste for Pollo Tropical ever since. As a man who values honor and respect, I find such antics most unbecoming for someone working in the service industry.
In conclusion, Pollo Tropical, if you’re listening, you might want to look into the way your employees are being trained—particularly one named Brandon, who has left a stain on my memory of your establishment. I trust y’all can do better than this. As for me, I’ll be taking my business elsewhere, where courtesy and respect are...
Read moreLong wait to order and have order ready. Approx. 35 min just for that. A real disaster when it comes to Customer Service. Staff doesn't know what it is.
Foodwise, not the greatest, a large chop order, not cheap at all, barely served to a minimal amount of product and when asking why so little, " well that's what it is" making customer feel like begging to have a decent portion. Drink courtesy refill, unknown term.
Complete disregard of service to customers, sanitation procedures, displeasant attitude and so on.
Big banner outside announcing "We are open for dinning.". then as customers try to sit down to dine, acting manager comes chasing customers out of the place not allowing anybody to dine in keeping the distance from table to table. As I come out, found rainy outside and people forced to eat keeping food boxes on top of cars' hoods. Nevertheless to mention the lack of attention to restrooms out of order and out of supplies for proper sanitation.
In addition to find trash cans filled to the top and new trash most probable creating a cascade of it around area.
Is there a real management policy in place for these restaurants. ??? These scenarios happen on a regular basis at almost every location I have visited. Miami airport, 441 at Ives Dairy Road, Sunny Isles,...
