Updated review due to reduced quality: Lately, Marion's pizzas have been of poor quality. They seem to be using a new cardboard flavored crust that also very much represents the texture of cardboard. The toppings seem to be a lesser quality as well. The pizzas are not nearly as enjoyable as they once were. Unfortunately, as their prices are still very high, this is no longer a place me or my friends go, nor that we would recommend. The Marion's you enjoyed as a child is no more.
Original review in 2019: Only go if you have a Reach Magazine coupon for 25% off. Otherwise, the prices here are pretty high for what you get. They're even higher than most places with the 25% off coupon.
The pizza here is thin and usually crispy. They seem to use quality meat toppings (their meat toppings are typically better than their veggies - and - they seem to give more meat than veggies, so the meat is a better value). They have the best sausage in the Dayton area, in my opinion. Their pizzas are made fresh to order and are always fresh out of the oven if you eat in or get carry-out. They do not have a thick or even hand tossed style pizza - you gotta like a thin crust pizza to eat here.
When eating in, you have to go through two lines - one for food and a second for drinks. The drink line is always slow, it seems. The restaurant often has tables that need cleaned. They don't have real dishes or real paper plates - you get the cheapest 5 inch paper plates money can buy. If you want lemon in your beverage/water it will come in a ketchup like packet. You get a good pizza but no perks or even standard conveniences to go with it.

Read moreI want to start by saying that I love Marion’s Pizza and have been a loyal customer for years. The pizza is fantastic, and I have always enjoyed dining there. However, my recent experience renting a space for my parents’ 50th wedding anniversary was quite disappointing.
The trouble began with the manager, Melissa, who was incredibly rude when we asked for extra plates. She threw a stack of the flimsy, small paper plates at my wife, scattering them across the counter and forcing her to pick them all up. This kind of behavior is unacceptable, especially from someone in a management position.
Additionally, the room we rented was not cleaned after the previous party. We had to bus their cups and scrub all the tables before we could start setting up for our own event. This is something we did not expect, especially after paying to use the space.
We also faced issues with the setup. Despite the restaurant not being busy, we were not allowed any extra tables for our pizzas and drinks. With 15 pizzas and several drinks, it was a struggle to find enough space.
While we didn’t expect help with the setup, a bit of hospitality from the manager would have gone a long way. We were spending a significant amount of money supporting Marion’s, and the lack of consideration and basic customer service was disappointing.
Overall, while I still love the pizza, I cannot recommend Marion’s for hosting events. The experience left much to be desired, and I hope they address these issues for...
