Updated review due to reduced quality: Lately, Marion's pizzas have been of poor quality. They seem to be using a new cardboard flavored crust that also very much represents the texture of cardboard. The toppings seem to be a lesser quality as well. The pizzas are not nearly as enjoyable as they once were. Unfortunately, as their prices are still very high, this is no longer a place me or my friends go, nor that we would recommend. The Marion's you enjoyed as a child is no more.

Original review in 2019: Only go if you have a Reach Magazine coupon for 25% off. Otherwise, the prices here are pretty high for what you get. They're even higher than most places with the 25% off coupon.

The pizza here is thin and usually crispy. They seem to use quality meat toppings (their meat toppings are typically better than their veggies - and - they seem to give more meat than veggies, so the meat is a better value). They have the best sausage in the Dayton area, in my opinion. Their pizzas are made fresh to order and are always fresh out of the oven if you eat in or get carry-out. They do not have a thick or even hand tossed style pizza - you gotta like a thin crust pizza to eat here.

When eating in, you have to go through two lines - one for food and a second for drinks. The drink line is always slow, it seems. The restaurant often has tables that need cleaned. They don't have real dishes or real paper plates - you get the cheapest 5 inch paper plates money can buy. If you want lemon in your beverage/water it will come in a ketchup like packet. You get a good pizza but no perks or even standard conveniences to go with it.

Similar pizzas can be found at Cassano's and Ron's in the...

I want to start by saying that I love Marion’s Pizza and have been a loyal customer for years. The pizza is fantastic, and I have always enjoyed dining there. However, my recent experience renting a space for my parents’ 50th wedding anniversary was quite disappointing.

The trouble began with the manager, Melissa, who was incredibly rude when we asked for extra plates. She threw a stack of the flimsy, small paper plates at my wife, scattering them across the counter and forcing her to pick them all up. This kind of behavior is unacceptable, especially from someone in a management position.

Additionally, the room we rented was not cleaned after the previous party. We had to bus their cups and scrub all the tables before we could start setting up for our own event. This is something we did not expect, especially after paying to use the space.

We also faced issues with the setup. Despite the restaurant not being busy, we were not allowed any extra tables for our pizzas and drinks. With 15 pizzas and several drinks, it was a struggle to find enough space.

While we didn’t expect help with the setup, a bit of hospitality from the manager would have gone a long way. We were spending a significant amount of money supporting Marion’s, and the lack of consideration and basic customer service was disappointing.

Overall, while I still love the pizza, I cannot recommend Marion’s for hosting events. The experience left much to be desired, and I hope they address these issues for...

12-3-24 review, marions you break my heart, I ordered my go to tonight, a large sausage and cheese, and what I received was a sad excuse of a pizza at full piece, I could see more sauce than sausage and cheese combined, my wife's small cheese was baked Brown, for shame marions your cost cutting will cost more than it saves you

Should be Dayton defining Pizza but it seems quality and expectations have gone down with time we ate there tonight and got a pizza that was mediocre at best so I went up to let them know that something was off with their pizza tonight overheard another patron Express in the same thing they offered to remake my pizza but I didn't expect a different Pizza so I said don't worry about it I just want to let you know something's not right with it as I walk away I overhear the manager Jeff Mumble whatever I find this rude and the signs of a passive aggressive individual setting a bad example for his employees about as bad as an example of his coworker ( the one with the dark hair and pigtails) sitting on a kitchen prep table most of the time we were there eating .my wife went up and also let him know that something was off with the pizzas he was rude dismissive and short with her acting like she was bothering him I'm extremely disappointed with marions and tonight was the first time in my life that I have ever left pizza at the restaurant I've been eating marions 34 years so I'm pretty sure I know when the pizza...

First time here, came for lunch. Really really good pizza. I’d been looking for this square thin cut for a while and literally stumbled on Marion’s here. The service was quick, fast and friendly. What was odd was the ordering system. You place your food order and pay for that at one counter then when finished, go to another counter to order and pay for your drinks separately. But whatever. Our pizza was ready in about 10-15 minutes. Served piping hot, with these comically small little paper plates to eat on. The pizza (we got a meat lovers) was really really good. Fresh, hot, crispy and the ingredients tasted super fresh. We’ll definitely be back, I’d like to try one of their subs and other pizza offerings!

Marion's is a staple in Dayton, Ohio. A blue collar working mans pizza that is served best on napkins. Marion's serves you pizza with oodles of nostalgia as their restaurants don't have TVs hanging on the wall or loud music playing. You can actually sit and enjoy the conversation with the people you came with. The pizza itself is pure perfection. Pros know to request that theirs be made in the "old oven" so you get just that little bit of scorch on the crust. Get the DELUXE and thank me later. Edge to edge toppings. Sweet flavorful sauce and cut into tiny bite size squares. If you want Midwest pizza done right and family atmosphere look no further.
