I’ve been a regular customer at this café for a long time, and it honestly pains me to see how much it’s gone downhill due to poor management. The staff turnover is ridiculous every week there are new faces who clearly haven’t been trained and have no idea how to handle the service. That alone speaks volumes about what’s happening behind the scenes.
Now they’re even hiring people who clearly have no experience in customer service. All they do is smile, like the new girl this week nice enough, sure, but she has no clue how to keep up with the pace or provide efficient service. A friendly smile isn’t enough when there’s no skill or training behind it.
What’s even more frustrating is that the few staff members who do have charisma and know what they’re doing are being pushed to the sidelines cleaning tables and having minimal interaction with customers. Why waste good talent like that? It’s beyond me. The manager, every time she’s come to my table, has failed to offer any real solutions to the issues brought up. It’s always the staff who end up resolving things not the person who’s supposed to be leading the team.
The quality of the food has also taken a serious hit both in taste and presentation. What used to keep me coming back wasn’t just the menu, but the amazing service and warmth of the team that the former manager managed to build. Now, only one person from that team is left, doing what she can between serving dishes and clearing tables. And the former manager? They’ve got him waiting tables now. It makes no sense.

Read moreSo today I was working in the 1450 Brickell Avenue building... after sitting in Miami traffic all morning, I was overjoyed when I got to the building because I remembered that the building has the best cafe.
On my lunch break, I skipped over like a giddy child. I sat down at the server Elias' table, who was very attentive and proactive.
At one point I got up to use the restroom, and when I got back to my table the food was there waiting for me and my water glass was full. He even placed a plate on my food to cover it until I was seated. How thoughtful!
The food came out quickly, with a nice big piece of salmon, delicious veggies, and very tasty dressing... I couldn't believe that plate only cost $15.99! Very reasonable
Now I am sitting here 4 hours later, still full, and very satisfied. Thank you Elias and the rest of the Milanezza Cafe...

I’ve also had the burger twice on Thursdays, which is their designated burger day. Always takeout, so no photos—but the quality has been impressively consistent. In my humble burger opinion, backed by a lifetime of eating experience, this is one of the best burgers I’ve ever had.
