When I first heard that Joe’s pizza was in Wynwood I stopped what I was doing, grabbed my partner and ordered for pick up. I called the phone and a young women picked up. It was difficult to hear her due to the loud music and her colleagues working in the background. We asked for a margarita pizza, she asked us for what type of cheese. She gave us 3 options, due to the loud noise and the young lady was beginning to get impatient, I asked for a regular margarita pizza for $30. I went over to pick up the pizza, a gentleman that was working in the kitchen ask us how he can help. We explained that we were here to pick up. When we said the name of the order the gentleman got it wrong we tried to correct him but I guess the music was too loud because he couldn’t hear us correcting the name. (Remember this is a small restaurant) the young lady who we spoke to over the phone was available so we give her the name to the order and paid. When we got to the car we learned that the pie was cheese pizza. We went back, saw the young girl and explained what happened. She wasn’t receptive to feedback. She said that we asked for regular cheese and that’s what was given. When I attempted to explain what I meant over the phone she said in an authoritative voice, “yes this is what you ordered, I gave you 3 options and you chose regular cheese this is a margarita with regular cheese.” The young girl did not give us any room to explain from our perspective. I looked at my partner and we chose to leave, never coming back and will be warning our friends. As for management, train your employees better to seek understanding from the customer and be more receptive to feedback. This was not a good first impression and the pizza did not even taste close to the real thing in NYC. Save your time, there are other mom and pop shop pizza place that welcomes the community and seek to understand them. What we got in the end was not a margarita pizza but a plane cheese pizza. The overall experience left my partner and I with a bad taste in our mouths. And each bite was comedic because we were basically gaslit to just...
Read moreI really enjoyed this for what it was! A quick, fairly cheap slice in the heart of the action. In reality — it’s not the Best slice by any means, so I rate higher just because quick/cheap options are few and far between these days and we need more. It’s perfect for that.
My gf and I enjoyed the plain cheese way more than the pepperoni (too greasy pepp— a pool was running off side of plate, some may like that though, not us). The cheese had a great tomato sauce, not too much, not too little.
The staff is Really friendly and catering — great hires from mgmt there.
Ranch — places that refuse to sell/make ranch are just ridiculous imo. It’s just stubborn for no reason, more than half of people want ranch with their pizza — just sell the damn ranch and make the money. And pineapple too… it’s so common anyone who refuses is just stubborn. Plain and simple. Who cares, just give the people what they want!! You’ll literally make more money, is “principle” worth ignoring more than half of your customer base? Lol so weird. But YDY of course, but don’t be surprised if I go to the other place nearby and get what I want, business works both ways in this instance.
It’s like a burger place refusing to offer ketchup and mustard and no lettuce or tomatoes … just no.
In the end— happy they’re here, and hope they stay in biz. If the other place is closed, I’ll definitely come back if I need a quick/cheap bite in the area, but I wouldn’t come for it on its own if that...
Read moreA Slice of Heaven in Wynwood! 🍕🎨 Joe's NY Pizza in the heart of the Wynwood Art District is an absolute must-visit for anyone craving authentic, mind-blowingly delicious New York-style pizza! From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with the inviting aroma of freshly baked dough and bubbling cheese, and it only gets better from there. We ordered a classic large pepperoni, and every single bite was pure perfection. The crust was that ideal combination of crispy on the outside and wonderfully chewy on the inside, with just the right amount of char. The sauce was rich, tangy, and tasted homemade, and the pepperoni was generously layered and perfectly crisped at the edges. It's clear they use high-quality ingredients because the flavor truly shines through. What really sets Joe's apart, besides the incredible pizza, is the vibe. It's laid-back, friendly, and perfectly captures the artistic, energetic spirit of Wynwood. The staff are super efficient and genuinely welcoming, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. Whether you're exploring the murals, heading out for a night, or just looking for the best pizza in Miami, make Joe's NY Pizza your destination. Seriously, skip the rest and go straight for the best.
