Ya'll. From a Colombian, honestly, this is the worst Colombian place I've ever eaten at. I highly recommend supporting better Colombian businesses, I made the mistake of not reading the reviews for this one. Food: For $12, breakfast was small and stale, and the arepas we're hard as hell!! (not authentic, probably "el sembrador" arepas from the store. You can buy them and Cook them much better)!! Service: First of all, they charge an 18%!!! Service fee upfront without telling you. Anddd, the service was bad overall. Bad attitude, and there is really no service for the price of the service fee. Cashier was also grabbing food with her hands, hands which she handles money with. BUÑUELOS!: Undercooked, raw, honestly worst buñuelos I've ever had, lol. I'm sorry but for a Colombian restaurant whose name literally has Buñuelo in it, I'm immensely disappointed. There was still arina inside, undercooked, and the cheese wasn't mixed or melted. When I bit into it expecting the crunchy outside and soft inside, I just got a soft, deflated, and greasy buñuelo! And... Oh so small. (Even though it was so small, I didn't eat the whole thing) We also had to wait like 20 minutes for them because they hadn't made any at 10am, and they forgot to bring them out to us. Making buñuelos is literally so easy, and cheap. A blunder for sure.
Bueno, with the abundance of Colombian places in Miami, I don't see many Colombians coming back to eat here specifically.
If this is the only place you've had Colombian food, I highly suggest you go somewhere that does the food...
Read moreVery rarely do I leave a review and less if it is about something that I do not like. But 15 days ago I went for a TO GO order of 10 BUÑUELOS filled with cheese and after paying $33 dollars for the order I kept thinking about why the bill was so high!! Today I came back for the same order 10 BUÑUELOS stuffed with cheese and this time I asked for the purchase receipt and now I understand why! FIRST: the menu says that each BUÑUELO stuffed with cheese costs $2 dollars so for an order of 10 the sub total should be $20 dollars but instead it comes out at 23 dollars sub total SECOND: they include an 18% service charge, which I would really understand if I ate at the place, but it was a TO GO ORDER. I work in the industry and I know that TO GO ORDERS do not include service. THIRD: the person who attends you does not let you know that you are already paying an 18% service included and additional shows you the screen of the tablet so you can see a suggested 15% 18% 20% additional! 2 weeks ago I left the additional 20% because I thought that the service was not included as it should be correct! but I don't want to finish this review without telling you that I really love your BUÑUELOS!! they are delicious!! but the system they are using for payment is not right! I almost forgot to telling you guys that please go back to the presentation of the to go orders before! In a box!! Have a...
Read moreI did not appreciate the 18% service charge for a to-go order and on top of that they forgot two empanadas. They are new to Miami and will quickly learn locals hate sneaky mark-ups. Patrons only find out after they’ve paid and on top of that when you pay, their Square app suggests a tip which most of us give. This place isn’t even a restaurant, it’s a food truck, so why are we paying service like we’re at Papi Steak? It’s illegal not to disclose service charge is automatically included in all sales. The empanadas were okay, the amount of grease was a huge let down. The sneaky 18% service charge made it taste even worse, finding out that they also didn’t give me my full order is why I won’t be visiting this...
