Riverview Bar and Grill — Restaurant in Miami

As an Asian, I would give zero stars if possible. The breakfast at the restaurant was a letdown, with poor service from the waitress. It was supposed to be a $22 continental breakfast per person, but I was charged $33 as for a full breakfast. Even after I pointed out the mistake and they agreed to correct it, they took a very long time to address the issue, only reluctantly adjusting the charge after I reminded them twice. Moreover, their attitude was extremely impatient and indifferent. I advise tourists and minorities to be cautious with this restaurant, as you might face significant discrimination and overcharging!

Como asiático, daría cero estrellas si fuera posible. El desayuno en el restaurante fue decepcionante, con un servicio pobre por parte de la camarera. Se suponía que era un desayuno continental de $22 por persona, pero me cobraron $33 como si fuera un desayuno completo. Incluso después de señalar el error y su acuerdo para corregirlo, tardaron mucho tiempo en hacerlo, ajustando el cargo solo de mala gana después de que les recordé dos veces. Als Asiate würde ich null Sterne geben, wenn es möglich wäre. Das Frühstück im Restaurant war enttäuschend, mit schlechtem Service von der Kellnerin. Es sollte ein kontinentales Frühstück für $22 pro Person sein, aber ich wurde mit $33 wie für ein komplettes Frühstück berechnet. I frequent this location from time to time as a crew member with my airline employer for layovers. This particular evening I was exhausted from the day and decided to have supper at the Riverside bar, after seeing they served my desired IPA draft beer. After sitting down, the attentive bartender told me they didn’t have any IPAs available on draft or can. I decided to stay and ordered a burger and side salad. The burger was good but not as delicious as other options outside of the hotel.

My biggest complaint and one star rating is the Hyatt Regency has decided to assess every patron in the Riverview Bar and Grill with a flat 15% service charge on top of the menu prices. This charge isn’t for room service, but for simply eating in the hotel restaurant.

I politely and respectfully told the bartender it would be my last time patronizing the Riverview Bar and Grill. Ever.

Walk 5 minutes outside and two blocks north for a much better burger, good selection of beers, and no hidden charges. Thank me later.

Completely unacceptable for a Hyatt property. And shame on the management to take advantage of their guests deciding to eat in...

To be fair, I only had the chocolate lava cake to eat. It was delicious and served with vegan ice cream. The menu has a good assortment for dietary restrictions, and the food I saw came to the table next to me. I looked and smelled wonderful. I am disappointed in the sparkling wine and coffee. I ordered a prosecco. The waitress came back and told me they didn't have any. I said No problem and let her know sparkling wine would be fine. I was given a very flat rosè brute. I put it to the side after two sips and asked for an espresso. She asked if it was flat, and I said, looking at the still liquid, it is. She took it, and I was given a paper cup of espresso. The manager tried to make it right and gave me a complementary glass of Mumm.....which was also flat. It was quite amusing, and I appreciated the gesture. Needless to say, it remained on the table after my departure. However, the espresso (not bad) and the cake were thoroughly enjoyed. Overall, I recommend having an easy lunch here or dinner here as you watch the boats/ yachts pass by. And I would like to reiterate, the service...
