Read moreAbsolutely the worst experience I have had as a client at a restaurant. Where can I start this sad tale that begins with rude, inconsiderate and condescending language coming from the young female cashier (short height, blonde hair) who I can almost by a thread sympathize with her probable exploitation that is the same usual shenanigans in many restaurants today. There is a modern culture where companies that have a lack of workers make their only employee even do more which from what I saw looked like a fiasco rushed mime sitcom getting worse by the second . The Uber eats where getting more priority over our food not to only mention that it seemed as this place that I had a shred of hope in got worse once the hummus got introduced into the table and then into my palette...this was like eating terrible cooking like beyond worse than soma from foods wars anime but I have heard even from Henry Rollins himself said he ate dog food to survive on the road with black flag I can only say I’m sure his experience was much better than mine not only that this hummus was bitter than sulfur itself and was probably sitting for hours and exposed in the sun and drenched with Miami’s already rancid humidity as well. On a rant here i can only say the falafel was about 35 percent decent... other than that I rather eat at the nastiest and dirtiest restaurant in the actual Mediterranean before I ever set foot into rice ever again. Rice sucks I would never recommend this place cause it runs a health hazard and wants to make its customers go straight to...
Read moreWe picked up take out for the first time here yesterday (we've only ever been to the Coral Gables location). We were very pleased to find the quality and presentation of food to be just as immaculate as the Coral Gables location. We got the chicken joobeh platters, swapping out the rice for black lentils. SO good. And the portions are huge! We'll be back!
Update: I'm updating this review. I ordered a meal delivery and although I received the order promptly it was not the food I ordered. I called the delivery person and he said that's what the restaurant gave him. So I called Rice twice and no one answered. So, we had to drive to the restaurant to get the right meal which was still sitting on the counter. The place was pretty empty, so no reason why no one could answer the phone. Also, there wasn't any offer to make the experience right. Just a "sorry." I had a similar problem at the Coral Gables location where the food was never delivered, but in that case we got our meal for free and they answered the phone when we called.
All in all, Rice has great, fresh food but the delivery system is extremely inconvenient. We always end up having to drive there to get the food. I recommend getting take out or...
