Went today 8/21/22 to the Dayton Mall restaurant. Did the Get in Line option from the website. Got there and still had a 20 to 30 minute wait. While sitting inside the place I observed a special that was posted for Barbacoa Quesidilla Benedict. The picture had my mouth watering so I made up my mind before getting the table. We, my party of 3, were seated and ordered drinks and waited about 10 minutes to place our order. I was the last person to order and place for the special. The server said, Oh we ran out of that and we will no longer have it since our specials menu is changing tomorrow. I was disappointed and ordered Eggs Benedict BLT style. It was good but it wasn't the Barbacoa that I was craving. When I went to pay the check, I was asked, "how was everything?" So I said, Okay, and the cashier said" Well we will take okay" in a manner for more explanation. So I indulged with how I was disappointed that they advertise the special but don't have it. She said, "yes we ran out two days ago and since our specials menu is changing tomorrow, we didn't order more. Plus we stopped giving out our specials menu at the tables!" I don't claim to be a rocket scientist but I own the whole block of common sense. Why would you still keep up a 2 ft x 3 ft advertisement that can easily be removed in a matter of seconds if you are out of the specials two days prior and it is being discontinued? Read moreMy Husband and I came here for the first today…. Before I start I’m not one that normally leaves reviews… If I do they deserve it either way rather good or bad!!!! With that said… The only thing I can say was good was the water…. My husband said his coffee was good… then after that it was a train wreck… they brought syrup to the table looking like it hasn’t been cleaned in weeks… We ordered Gingerbread Spice Donuts to share and they was so cold they hurt my teeth… I order a Belgium Waffle it was so cold the butter didn’t even melt a little bit… my husband order BLT Egg Benedict with potatoes…it suppose to come with two eggs… and came out with only one… we are not complainers and at this point I was just eating my cold waffle and not saying anything… my husband sent his meal back to be fixed and when it came back out the hollandaise sauce was in his ketchup it was just sloppy… asked to speak to the manager and Julie came out when my husband started to explain to her she proceed to argue with him and wouldn’t allow him to explain the issues… The only other good experience was the waitress… I’m sorry I can’t remember her name.. We definitely won’t be back!! And I would totally understand if they was really busy and short on staff but we was there at 7:15 am and there was only us and 2 other tables a total of 5 customers including us in the restaurant.....
Read moreI walked in the restaurant and I was told only cash at this time because Microsoft Office Network was down. I said that was fine. I just sat for 10-15 minutes for a server to atleast acknowledge me. No server came!!! Other people have came in and were greeted by a server with a hello and coffee. I am not a person who looks at color, but I noticed at this time I was the only person of color in the resturant(hard to miss). As I got up to leave a server ran up to me and said oh I'm so sorry I can help you. I said no," that's OK, now that I'm leaving you want to help me. However, in the kitchen a group of people were huddled up talking because Microsoft Office Network is down. The front desk person was talking to a young lady who brought her a mixer in to give to her with 3 little girls, which entered the resturant behind me when I first came in and they were still there talking when I walked out of the restaurant. This was very sad because I had had a lot of people talk about this restaurant. I even went back and talked to the manager and explained how I felt, he stated it was a server error. I advised to the manager, he and the server were with the group who were in the kitchen with others huddled talking about Microsoft being down.
