Five Guys — Restaurant in Middletown Township

Not sanitary. I saw some stuff I wish I didn’t see. Go to another five guys.

The cook at 6:30 pm on January 23,2021 was not taking sanitary precautions at all. I’m not a germaphobe by any means, but there are some rules you just gotta stick by.

I saw the cook holding raw hamburgers against his apron like someone would hold groceries to keep from falling. He proceeded to smack the burgers onto the grill with no love ( I guess he was bored). Then to make matters worse while the raw meat burgers was in his left hand and not getting a new glove he corrected a cooked burger in the line. Cross contaminating the burgers. When I told my husband he said he’s not shocked. He watched him clean the grill while burgers were cooking. And instead of cleaning away from the meat he pushed the spatula toward the cooking burgers 😬 not to mention our hotdogs were not event hot or crispy when we got them. There were 7 people behind the counter and at 2pm it wasn't very busy. No one was wiping off tables or sweeping the floor. Every table was dirty and the floor was also. We asked if someone could clean a table and it was grudgingly done. I guess none of the management knows there is a pandemic. We've been to several Five Guys and this is the first and only time we experienced a filthy eating area.

As always the burgers were great, the shake too. I can't figure out how they got so much grease into the fries. Perhaps they soaked them in cooking oil overnight and then cooked them low and slow.

Me and my friend came in for food September 18th and heard a employee which i'm assuming is the manager (black shirt) making disgusting sexual comments about us, I dont even want to repeat what i heard. I kept noticing him looking at us the ENTIRE time we were there up until we left. We couldn’t even dine in we felt so uncomfortable. Constantly looking over at us just all around very unpleasant experience, I feel terrible for anyone that has to work with this man especially his female co workers that looked very noticeably uncomfortable around him.
