Salsarita's Fresh Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Middletown

Like the freshness of this place. Stopped by here for a bite after a band competition and the staff was very helpful and polite. The food was hot and not overly heavy. We sat on the outside patio and it was clean and quiet enough to have a conversation without the local traffic being an issue. The three of us ate for a little less than $30. That included a HUGE nacho plate with grill chicken that stood about 5 inches high off the plate, a steak, shrimp and rice bowl and a monster burrito. There were plenty of leftovers taken home to take to work for lunch the next day. Only critique I have is that the nacho chips were a little flat in flavor. Mildly heavy with oil and no salt or other seasoning. Would not have been good with just a simple salsa. Also I asked for pico de gallo and got salsa on my plate. Not a horrible mistake that ruined the dish but a mistake all the same.

Update: 01/25/2020 In response to your question "How do we get 5 stars?" I think the answer was given in the review but I will spell it out for you to be clear. 1. Fix your chips. They were oily, which suggests that your oil was not hot enough in the fryer or they were left too long in the fryer during cooking. Also they had no flavor so just add a bit of salt when they first come out. 2. Pay attention to the customer order and next time I ask for pico de gallo don't give me salsa.

Salsarita’s Fresh Mexican Grill Middletown, KY

On 8/28/20 we had 12 of the Residents from the HOA at Swan Pointe come together at Salsarita’s in Middletown to have dinner. I had encouraged them to join the rewards plan so they could save $5.00 and maybe get some chips and some of your wonderful Queso dip. I knew that I love it!! The line moved very quickly and it didn’t take long to have our food ready to carry back to the tables. I had the Steak Quesadillas with grated cheddar cheese and Queso dip and a side of Chips and Salsa. I really liked what I got. Phil had the Chicken Bowl with Chicken, pico de gallo, Refried Beans, Lettuce, Tomato, Shredded Cheese and Queso Dip. He really liked his and it and had plenty to eat. Everyone in our group really had a great time and really enjoyed their meals. I took pictures of each person’s plate and everything really looked good. food disappointing. interior appeared clean. late late lunch on Saturday afternoon. only one more customer in there. food service line worker and cashier present and both efficient. other slew of staff working in the kitchen area too. i got the two tacos, chips, salsa and drink deal for $8.99. the line worker would ask if i wanted stuff that would cost extra. i finally said i just want what comes with the $8.99 deal. food was bland. queso and guacamole cost extra. the steak meat and chicken meat were not worthy of my return. the best thing was the coke from the fountain machine in the dining room. this place seems like a cool place to relax and eat but food could be a lot better. i couldn’t chew break down a chunk of steak meat and had to spit it out. the chicken meat was ordinary and i had to cut it up with the knife i received. overall not appealing. the chips were light, fresh and good. due to Covid 19 most restaurants are using cautionary measures with soda fountain machine use and table distancing. i did not see any caution except a few signs about wearing masks and...
