Cantina Sports Bar and Grill — Restaurant in Mifflin Township

My wife and I hit Local Cantina in Gahanna usually spring thru fall. We like to sit outside and walk the area after our meal. We didn't realize till we looked at the menu it was no longer local cantina. While we were dismayed that our items were no longer on the menu, we decided to give it a try. The decor lost some of it's charm. While we got our drinks quickly, it took almost a half hour to have our order taken. Only 2 people working at dinner time. We ordered queso for an appetizer. Had to ask for it after another 20 minutes. I can only describe the queso as some sort of powdered mixture. It reminded me of the kraft Mac and cheese when you don't mix it enough. Didn't touch it again after first try. Didn't get any better with our meals. Dry and some sort of oil or grease pooled at bottom of basket. Local Cantina was my favorite restaurant, I’ve went for every single one of my birthdays since I was 9. Loved the workers and how the place was decorated, service was always great and so was the food. My Mom was avoiding telling me that it had changed ownership but when I found out, I was heartbroken. The most recent time and the last I’ve went under the new management, it was a horrible experience. Waitress didn’t introduce herself, LED lights were painfully bright and very obnoxious, service was slow, food wasn’t great. We had ordered the queso, on the menu it says it’s white queso, when it arrived at our table it was in fact not white queso, it was orange. They delete all their poor reviews. Went here a month ago the service was terrible and food was between bad and subpar. The waitress barely served us. They messed our order up multiple times. A friend wanted to try this place even though I advised against it because of my experience. She called with a couple of questions and then one of their employees named Gracie answered and had a huge problem with my friend asking about their menu. She was irritated and couldn't be bothered. She was extremely rude. Needless to say my friend didn't end up ordering, just from that experience on the phone.
