The only way I can think of that so many people rate this "best ever" is that they must not get out much. "Aggressively mediocre" would be more accurate. I found the food bland, the service unimpressive, the venue depressing.

The fried rice was cold, which makes me think it was not made to order but was made earlier in the day. It didn't taste like anything.

The Home Style Tofu Veggies was supposed to be "very spicy" but I honestly could not taste any chile at all. Otherwise it was pretty tasteless and had a weirdly thick/sticky sauce full of sugar.

I was glad to find vegetarian options here, which in my experience can be hard-ish to get in Ohio. The host (owner?) claimed to another customer while I was there that in the summer they raise all the vegetables organically themselves in their home garden. I have no way to evaluate the truth of this but it would greatly raise my esteem for the restaurant if true. It is hard to believe for $12 a plate.

The host was very polite to other customers who came in for takeout, many of whom seemed to be regulars. She was nice enough to me, but nothing unusual.

The first two times I ordered from this restaurant there was no problems, the third time I ordered food with a bottle of Aquafina water, I attempted to open the bottle, the bottle was already open and full of tap water. I called and complained and they refunded me my money for the water The fourth time I ordered I had to wait an hour and a half for delivery and when they get here the driver was very rude they had my order wrong and their machines would not take my credit card that had plenty of money on it. I called my card infront of them they charged my card twice a $1 each time he swiped, when I spoke to the woman on the phone she was very dismissive and rude about the situation and hung up on me. Hands down the greatest Chinese restaurant I've ever been to! When you enter, it feels like every hole-in-the-wall Chinese place you've been at, small and colorful. That changes first with the service, as they treat you like family from the start.

Once you order, you're expecting the usual basic food. Let me tell you, you get what you paid for, as the portions are very hearty and the flavors complex and homemade in their warmth. Food is fresh and piping hot!

Prices are very fair, with great food, great service, all in a homely environment. There may be a wait time, but they are understaffed and the food will be well with the wait. Please, go here if you're considering. I put this on my 100 places to go in your lifetime.
