Pourman's — Restaurant in Milwaukee

This place is the worst ever. The club owner and the bouncer said my BODY was inappropriate. He said he didn't want that image within his club. He then continued and said to go back to burleigh because my ass was too big. Calling me a hoodrat and what not. Only if these fools knew that I am a Marquette Graduate. Far from a hoodrat. Then he switched it up and said that I was showing too much that's why I couldn't get in. Mind you I had a full length body suit on. That was not revealing. It was really a relaxed outfit.

In addition people who had the same thing as I was getting in however who's body was built different. People who were far less attractive (as told by bystanders) were getting in and women who had on men's jerseys and cut off jeans were all getting in. Then you had guys who seemed to have just rolled outta bed get in as well. So I believe the dress code had nothing to do with it.

Before the Pourman's staff have something to say about my geographical location, the amount of education I currently posses, or the amount of curves or large ass I have. PLEASE EDUCATE YOURSELF and stop...

I originally went to Pourman's for the novelty of tapping your own beer and on the recommendation of an acquaintance and I have to say I was impressed. The bar is located conveniently on Water street but it maintains a historical aesthetic. A beautiful copper bar, brass fixtures, naugahyde, fur and dark hardwood are welcoming and a nice change from the rather abrasive interiors of its contemporaries.

Furthermore the beer selection is excellent, but even more importantly the bartenders have serious knowledge and can recommend a variety of ales, lagers and mixed drinks. It has been a long time since I've met such chatty and welcoming bartenders, it never feels awkward to stop in by yourself.

Finally, I have to comment on the variety of crowds at Pourman's, depending on the night and the music all sorts of people come to the pub to drink and socialize. It really is an inclusive atmosphere which isn't as common as you'd think in Milwaukee.

Had such an amazing experience during my first visit to Pourman’s. My girlfriend and I came out for the Packer game and we were absolutely blown away with the service at Pourman’s. The owner Ben gave us a great tour of the bar and introduced us to the tabletop-toppers which was something we have never seen before. The tabletop-toppers are a reason to check this place out alone if you haven’t. We then were able to enjoy the game with the bartender John who made our overall experience one of the most fun Packer games ever by serving some of the best bloody Marys we have ever had and keeping the energy up at all times.
