I called in the morning to place an order for an event that day I needed a few coffee boxes and was told to order online through the app. That was the only info given to me. I downloaded their app and placed my order I needed it for a 5 pm event so I ordered it for pick up at 4:45 I was on my way at 4:40 to pick up and received a call from Stone Creek. I was told they were about to close and couldn't accommodate my last min order. I said it wasn't last min I had placed it at 10am. I was told it prints just in time to make the order so they didn't know and couldn't do it. I let them know I had called and no one warned me to call back and let them know about the order or to place it a certain amount of time before close. The 4:45 time was an option for me to click on I didn't just type it in! This wasn't a complicated order just a few boxes of regular coffee large yes but not hard. They just kept repeating that they couldn't do it. No compensation or acknowledgment that they should have warned me just oh well sorry no can do. I had an event that needed coffee starting in 15 min! I went to Collectivo on 1st street and the nice baristas there managed to put together my order in 10 min with no warning I appreciated Collectivo's customer service and drive to help me out! Clearly Stone Creek could have...
Read moreI attended one of the coffee classes that is offered at the new Stone Creek Coffee Factory location on 5th Street. My wife joined me. The class was taught by Christian Ott, Director of Coffee and Coffee Education. It was outstanding! It completely opened my mind and taste buds to the drink I love - coffee! The class ran for three hours in a lovely setting with all the tools ready and available to help me learn how to make excellent espresso drinks. There were four of us in the class that focused on DOING and EXPERIENCING and TASTING and UNDERSTANDING what makes great coffee, great and great espresso drinks, great. The founder and owner of Stone Creek Coffee (Eric Resch) also stopped in. Eric Resch has created a remarkable "coffee" environment at this 5th Street location. He is taking "coffee" to another level. Moving it from a something we love to drink, to something we love to know and experience. Much like craft beer or fine wine, Eric is inviting us to not just drink great coffee, but truly understand what makes great coffee, great. I could not recommend the new Stone Creek Factory more strongly and suggest any serious coffee drinker to take this wonderful class and visit this exceptional...
Read moreFour employees. One person in the store. Waited two minutes at the cash register before I was even acknowledged. Everyone was sour and cranky. Placed order and then waited for 13 minutes with no one else I. The store while 15 mobile orders were fulfilled ahead of me. Have a dedicated online order fulfillment espresso machine or just close your in person store and open a pickup window. If you have a real human waiting in store and you’re making drink after drink while they wait, maybe fast track the in person? Or at least check in with them. I don’t want to buy from a store that places faceless volume revenue over customer service when I’m buying a quality product and paying quality product prices. I don’t think I’m the only one who is just tired of being treated as an annoyance when I show up in person. Better training is needed, order fulfillment revisions are needed, and a business culture shift is absolutely needed. How you treat your customers is a major indication of your...
