I love all kinds of music from death metal to classical. As long as it lifts me and allows me to float on sound. I'm happily adrift on the waves. I went to Beethoven piano &pictures at an exhibition. It was amazing, I had the pleasure of sitting next to a former violinist who gave me me a new word when the violin is plucked its call a pizzicato” or just “pizz” lol. the venue it's self was beautiful with a fascinating history. It was so beautiful. I felt like I was in a gilded jewel box. I remember when it was an ugly movie theatre with charm of a shoe box, Times change. While I was captivated by the music, I drank a 20 year old scotch on the rocks from concessions. Just to make myself feel fancy. Read moreWe came to see/listen to Joshua Bell and the MSO. The new theater is beautiful and spacious. Acoustics are fabulous. The seating is comfortable, but a little challenging to get around people who don't move if you are in the middle during intermission. Security is like all public events now, metal detectors walk-through and bag search if they see something; very friendly and professional staff. Beverages and food are very expensive for what you receive. It's like airport food with limited choices. Paid $60 including 20% tip for a Coke, glass of wine, fruit cup, vegetable cup and ham sandwich. Then $20 including 20% tip for an oatmeal raisin cookie and two Cokes during intermission. Staff were wonderful. The MSO is first rate and so worth going to hear live....
