UPDATED 10/17 I walked by this location just after 11am when they opened and saw they had what seems to be new staff and a redesigned menu. Since they just opened and it was dead inside, I decided to give it another try. I will say, my experience was FAR better than what it was a few years back. The guy helping me at the counter was very nice and courteous and the food, as well as the portions were great for the price. Perhaps they took note of all the negative reviews and addressed it? Or perhaps it was a coincidence. Either way, I will return to give it another try. I ordered a burrito and it was massive. The chips they gave was also a really decent size. My own minor grip is that I wish there was more guac since it was in a 2oz cup.
OLD REVIEW BELOW The attitude of the staff here has become very crappy in recent years. I went in today to get their $2 taco special but it had changed to $3 and Mexican style tacos only. No big deal.
So i get my tacos and ready to pay and the the total came to $22 for only 4 tacos! The woman said "these are American tacos so they're more" I pointed that they're corn tortilla tacos. She said that because I added sour cream to them, they're now American. The offer says NO WHERE on the signs inside what ingredients were...
Read moreThe ordering process and menu isn't clear and needs major improvements. I waited in line for 10 minutes to order a quesadilla, and when it was finally my turn to order I was told I had to order a quesadilla in a separate line, then I waited an additional 5 minutes in the quesadilla line. The menu also doesn't specify that that there's an additional cost for sides and toppings, depending on the entree ordered. Even the marketing in store advertises the sides and toppings together, making it appear that it's part of the full order for one price.
Despite the ordering process, I was hoping the quesadilla would taste good and it wasn't. There was more chorizo in the quesadilla than there was cheese. Everything was extremely greasy and oily, and the chorizo was falling out of the quesadilla. I was hoping this would be better. Please look into updating the ordering and line process, and updating the menu prices. The last restaurant that was in this space didn't need a food prep line, all the food was built in the back kitchen where there was more space, then there was a salsa bar to build your toppings. The order came out 2x quicker and better...
Read moreThe lady working building the food was very unfriendly and anything but helpful. Had a bad attitude and not customer friendly in the least. I would not want her representing my company. I had stopped in as a first-time customer and was thinking ok, this might be a corporate catering opportunity, nope not after what I just experienced. They wanted nothing to do with being friendly or helpful. Then she even got my order wrong, after trying to correct her I just gave up. She was very rude. Then when the cashier gave me my total, I was shocked, this was a lot of money for two tacos and a side of chips/queso. I will not be returning to this location and now I understand why it was so dead, when Chipotle was slammed. I walked out of Chipotleâs line to come here, and I regret it still that I did that.
Also, as I'm checking out I look back and the cook is standing at the food prep line eating his lunch for everyone to see in plain viewâŠ..that must be some violation of the health & food safety inspection codes!
Hopefully sharing my experience will save others from the same and wasting a lot of money on...
