On the 19th I was meeting friends up for a birthday; I said I would head over early to make sure we could get a table for eight. At about 4:30 I told the host there would be a party of eight at 5:30 and asked if she could accommodate? She said there was not any room but about then is when they would open the Potato Bar upstairs which is first come first serve so she may be able to put us all in there. As I waited for my friends to arrive I browsed the gift shop and make chatter w the employee about the tour I had been on a few years prior and the delicious tasting our group was treated to. Eventually I took a seat in the entryway to wait for my party. The gift shop employee exited the store towards the host stand stopping to tell me he would make sure they could accommodate our party! Oh.....ok...delightful! When everyone arrived the hostess informed us downstairs was indeed full so the Potato Bar was only option. Which really turned out for the better as we were able to have conversation and not feel like we were taking up a able they would want to turn. We had a couple rounds of drinks and would pass them all around so everyone could try them. I asked our server what she preferred? She liked sweet, so on her recommendation I didn't opt for my standard Old Fashioned but the Apple Old Fashioned, it was delicious! We also all had dinner and it was so delicious! Thanks O'Shaughnessy's for checking all the boxes for a wonderful birthday celebration!! Delicious drinks. savory food. friendly staff and comfortable...
Read moreI am severely disappointed in the customer service of the front door host. We had a group of 4 who were at Surley brewing right next door and when leaving saw this place and was excited to try something new. After entering, the host was short, condensending, and rude. She told us we had to have reservations. That is fine as we didn't know. Another host said, "But you can sit at the bar." Just then, we saw 4 people leaving the bar and went over there. As we started to sit down, the bartender said, "Did the host say you could be over here." The first host came over to us and chastised us for being there in front of dozens of other people. I was embarrassed and disappointed in her attitude as she then directed us upstairs to another bar like we were bad school children!
I get this place is popular, but attitudes like that don't make me want to tell anyone to go here. The building and the atmosphere can be beautiful and wonderful, but the first encounter with your hosts did not make me or any of my friends promote coming here.
Rose upstairs was great. The DJ was great.
I am sorry, but first impressions are everything. If you like being treated poorly by hosts, whose very job is to promote your business, then come here, but if you don't, then stay away.
We had stopped in their store to look at their merchandise. My friends asked what the difference in name as it says keeps heart on everything. I think we may have woke her up as she was also annoyed to be answering the question!...

Virtually everything, the whiskey, the food, the tour, were A+ in quality, but what stood out more than anything was the genuine friendliness and assistance of the staff. From the young lady (sorry I didn't catch her name) who expertly guided us through the tour, to our waiter, Victor, who expertly guided us through a great selection of eating options, everyone was just plain old friendly. When we were told that our table reservation wasn't quite ready, we were all given whiskey punch at no charge, while we waited. It was delicious, and we all agreed that we were glad our table was delayed! The food was really good. We ordered up a wide selection of items, to share. The food came out very quickly, and it was hot out of the oven. Everything was tasty, but the Juicy Lucy meatballs (6 large), the lobster roll, the cauliflower fritters (couldn't believe that were only 9 bucks), and the french fries were the biggest hits. Again, everything was great. The vibe was exactly what you'd want, especially at this time of year. Instead of a traditional dining table, we sat in a comfortable nook, at a lower table (like a large coffee table) that was more conducive to sharing plates. Just an impressive place and experience. Definitely...
