I've been here many times over the last 15 years, all good. Not so much tonight. The beer was good. Our main server was good. The person who was, I guess, the host, was not. This person ruined it for us, and, by extension, the other wait staff involved, and all over our little faux pas of seating ourselves outside before checking in with someone inside first. This person was extremely condescending as they moved us to another table and was unreceptive to our confused apologies. We then sipped our beer and watched them theatrically wipe down the table where we had originally seated ourselves as though they were de-lousing it. Nobody else was sat at that table the entire time we were there. I thought about asking to move back to that table just to mess with them, but it wasn't worth it. I can't remember a single time in my life that I have ever been treated with such disdain by a restaurant employee, and we didn't even do anything. It was bizarre. We are so nice to servers and staff everywhere we go. We were at another brewery only minutes before, and the staff there loved us, and we loved them. They gave us free stuff and told us it was because we said "thank you" all the time. It was nuts. We spent and tipped accordingly. We apologized to the Town Hall host for our faux pas and they merely scoffed at us. I suspect it was just a bad day for this person. Still, a word to the wise for those who wish to have a good time here: please see the people inside before seating yourself outside, or you may find yourself sharing in another...
Read moreWe felt really good about this place walking in, then we met the young man who was seating customers. The restaurant was sparsely seated due to it being a rainy Memorial Day weekend. This poorly trained person walked me and my husband who is tall and larger in size to a back room and sat us at a tiny round high top table. When I requested that we be seated at a booth in the front of the restaurant he told us no and that we had to sit at the table he had brought us to. I told him if we couldn't get a suitable table we would leave, he responded by telling me and my husband to leave. I then asked for a manager. It took 3 people to alert the manager. When he finally arrived to assist us, he had no problem finding a booth for us. The restaurant was basically empty! We did not see the manager address the way this staff handled our request for a different table. He basically ignored the poor treatment we received and moved on. As for the food, steer clear of the tots on the app menu. It was like eating glue. The drinks were decent. We will not be coming back to this place again. Response: Thank you for addressing what happened to us. Secondly, made from scratch or not (I am a very good cook and I know good food) your tots are, heavy, sticky (overly mixed potatoes) and flavorless. They were terrible. If they could be lightened up (made fluffy instead of heavy and sticky (by not over mixing) they might be good. Do not imply that I prefer store bought processed food bc your tots are...
Read moreTL;DR - Really good burger, great curds, and great selection of beer
Atmosphere - nicely decorated and welcoming atmosphere that doesn't feel cramped. I came during early dinner hours and everything was clean and, to my eyes, well organized. Bonus: they actually put effort into their restrooms as they were super clean and just... Nice.
Service - immediately greeted and seated upon arrival, drink order taken within a couple minutes and food not long after. Appetizer came out in about 5 minutes and food was about 29 minutes later. All in all service was prompt attentive, and friendly
Food - so much good going on in the food category. Started with the some Cheese Curds and an appetizer and they delivered! A light and crispy beer batter encapsulates a wonderfully fresh and gooey curd; definitely the top-5 cheese curds I've had, possibly the top 3.
For a main course I got the Penthouse burger which, on top of having multiple cheeses and caramelized onions, uses a perfectly complimentary Parmesan-crusted sourdough. The burger comes with pickled jalapenos as well but I omitted those as a personal preference. Still, the resulting a crunchy yet soft bred made for a wonderful pairing with a flavorful patty prepared at a perfect 'Medium'. Overall a fantastic burger experience that makes me excited to try their...
