I finally decided to rate and review this location as i live 2min away, and i really do not go to many starbucks corporate stores, as i am a barista trained and certified, so i really loathe how most starbucks employees act or treat customers, from being rude or acting like your dumb if yyou dont say it correctly, or we dont do that... my thoughts are if you are going to pay for almost 6$ coffee ( in most cases ) then you should do that even if it's an upcharge ...now i know and totally understand, it really SUCKS waiting on high maintenance people especially rude diva housewives that state omg i havnt had my coffee yet .....ha ha ha ..whatever just because you have not had your coffee yet yes I am does not give you the right to treat us like total asshats .., but I'm getting off-topic I could ramble on for hours and hours and days on all of the crazy stuff i hear and people I get.., and especially when you are being high-maintenance please tip because it is a job and we deserve we are making something that takes a lot of prep work and more time when we already have 10 cups of half-caff 1% only fill the cup 1/4 to the top and 2 and 1/2 pumps of mocha 4 toffee nut and 1/2 pump of raspberry, oh and then extra hot with alot of whip i mean i love whip cream god put alot on.... but yeah you're the most important person in the world right now so I better cater to you or you are not going to tip and I'm a horrible person..but since i can not use my earned rewards at my location, i go to other starbucks to redeem them ..but this store is beyond rude and slow, i have tried to redeem my rewards 2 times with no luck, eather they did not hear me before they started the transaction, wich they would hopefully void and start over but then i wait longer and other people behind me in drive through line think im a diva and waisting everyones precious time , or 2 times they cant figure out my reward they say i dont have one, wich once they ended up giving me it free , wich is nice but uncomfortable... then speaking of free , i had my best friend in town and my sister and i thought cool we have a new starbucks open we can have coffee and visit inside, so i was all excited to treat them get in line to order mind you on a Saturday early evening, and they we're busy, we ordered our drinks and i thought ill use cash, i had a $50.00 bill , the total was almost $18.00 ish , and i think it was a manager ringing us, ohhhhh you dont have anything smaller, wich immediately got me upset, i said you know what nevermind guys guess we wont be having our coffee and my friend and sister embarrassed by me , wichbi really wasnt rude , i was thinking wow you cant make change with that ... but oh well...my friend said ill get it..i wouldn't let her i had said im paying , walking away the worker or manager said it's ok you already ordered so you can have them...wich is nice but now i didnt want to sit and visit at the location becauze it seemed uncomfortable. ... maybe i was a little rude but 4 times already with the mess ups and then this ...so today i went in and got 2 drinks and use my freebies and success yayyyyyyy but ...lol still slow and not friendly ( at all ) i hope people understand my review ...but i really hope they coach them on speed and customer support ..be friendly ... i know its sunday and you would rather be doing something else .but dang i go in to work at 430 am open at 6 and im very nice...
Read moreThought i might test my out of office computer on their public wifi and order a coffee and scone, went in the front door, mask signs but not signs saying dining area was closed. Some tables marked off but nothing clearly saying don't be here. Ordered a venti drink and a scone, why not, the gal asked me twice how to spell my name. There was no one else there before or after me so I was not concerned how they called me. Sat my pc on the table that was not marked (every other one was, and they all have chairs set up to them) and was shouted at, "cafe is closed!" from the counter. Very unprofessional. Then i gather my stuff and wait and my name is called! So I go up and it's just the scone. So I stand there. Other drinks are lining up for pick orders, I guess, and two separate employees asked me what I was waiting on and I said "my name is ... " and they went scurrying back, filling two other orders on that side table before mine was done, I don't think they had even started it until I was asked the 2nd time. I was kind of put off for a few reasons. So, Starbucks has some policy? Make it clear to those who aren't regulars! I thought this would be a great place to go use public wifi so I could see if my work from home equipment would actually work. Then, start my order? I don't know, when I order it? No one there but drive through and so many employees behind the counter, but 3 in the drive thru window. Won't be going back to this one, I found it impersonal and cold. The drink and scone were okay. about...
Read moreNobody was more excited to see Starbucks come to this community than I was. I'm happy to see some revenue coming in to the city and I'm a huge coffee fan. After a few visits, I have determined that I will not be returning to this particular location. It began when I was ordering a latte and the 'barista' didn't understand the concept of not using any flavored syrup. This was followed by 3 subsequent visits where I tried to order decaf coffee (per my medical condition) and was told that they didn't have any but that I could have other decaf options at a higher price of course. When I contacted SB HQ, I was told that it was policy for the stores to carry decaf until noon. HQ was supposedly going to contact them about the issue. However, when I returned, the situation hadn't changed.
I will now continue to bypass SB and go to Twisted Sister or the Filling Station. There is even a Caribou Coffee in the HyVee nearly across the street so at least I have several options where my business is appreciated. Twisted Sister even uses Roasterie Coffee which is...
