If you like or want HOT food don't come here! You order, get your number, get your fountain drinks, and find a table. We were a party of 5 and couldn't find a table to sit at a 4 top table because 6 tables of 6-8 people had "reserved" signs on them for whatever reason and were never used while we were there from 7pm-8pm. Spitfire really presents itself well. Nice outside and nice inside but the good sucks. I REALLY wanted to like this place BUT it was terrible and did not live up to the hype or recommendation by a local tour place that raved about it. Everything is average AT BEST to include service, food (actually terrible. More on that later), ordering, etc. All, and I do mean ALL, the food was cold. I, honestly, couldn't believe it. 2x orders of pulled pork cold and dry, 1x tri-tip cold, 1x brisket cold and dry, cheese burger cold and dry (not seasoned), coleslaw bland, baked beans lukewarm, Mac and cheese was lukewarm and bland. They also screwed up our sides and I had to show them the receipt to prove it. Maybe it was someone else's order...🤔 Very unimpressed. I wouldn't say I have extremely high standards I just expect hot food to be hot and cold food to be cold. I don't think that is unreasonable. We also asked for lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and pickles for the burger when we ordered it, the employee said "it comes on the side", only for it not to arrive and they had no idea what we were asking for so they brought us a small salad for dressing the burger...🤔🤦😤 I was not happy after spending $60 and leaving a tip. This will be the last time I leave a tip in advance! And I worked in the food and beverage industry for 8 years during HS and college. I can't recommend this place at all AND I will NOT be...

The staff was very nice, the resturant is so nice looking, great ambiance. The reason for the 2 stars is because the amount of food we got for the price we paid was not enough. We left hungry and went back to our trailer and had to make us something to eat again. We got the Platter called Pick 3. We were told it was a pound of meat and it came with 2 sides, so we bought 1 more side. We shared that between 3 people. We got the Brisket, Tri-tip and wings. We each picked a meat. When the platter came we got 3 small wings, 3 small pieces of brisket, and a few small pieces of tri-tip. It was no where near a pound of meat. The sides were very good but they were tiny, good enough that if we got enough meat we would of been fine. We spent $75 and felt very ripped off. The thing that makes me mad is that asked them when we ordered if we shared that platter if that is enough food for us and they assured us it would be fine. Not even. I wish I would of took a picture. It was a big platter and these little piles of meat. LOL! We will not be back next time we are in town. We went to the food truck plaza the next day and got way more filling options for $48. Also we are not pigs, we thought if we are spending $75 at a BBQ place we were getting full. Not leaving hungry. *Disclamer both those prices are...

Went here for dinner last night. We love BBQ and decided to try it. It was disappointing in our opinion. I went to order drinks at the bar and was completely ignored by the female behind the bar. She served 5 guys which were there after me. Finally the gentleman clearing tables took my order. Food did come out quickly. We have been raised with good southern BBQ and this did not meet the mark. Chicken was very dry. Brisket was a bit better; however, expect to pull fat before you eat it. I have my own smoker and just would never serve a guest like that. I cut the fat out prior to presentation. Just want you to understand my ratings. Mac and cheese and the hush puppies were very dry. As no one checks on you, (and admittedly I should have gotten up to inquire about butter or honey for the hush puppies), they hard to eat. You stand in line to order at a counter, given a number, then find an open table. Because no one checks on you, if you want a second drink... Best of luck getting it and we did not feel like waiting in the order line a second time and no way we were going to be ignored at the bar again. Outside seating is dog friendly. There are a limited number of private tables. There are long tables for multiple people that you can share with but no way to have a private...

I wanted so bad for this to be good but it was NOT! The meat was so dry and the bbq sauce was not good at all! The Mac n cheese was tasteless and need so much salt. I ended up having to put water in it to make it less dry. The salad was ok the ranch was pretty watery and very dilly. The potato salad was more of a mustard overload. The bbq sauces were in the wrong containers so my son grabbed the house and it was the hot and it was more vinegar than bbq sauce. The atmosphere is good I think I loved the open patio and the chick wagon feel of order at the counter then sit down. It was clean but it’s just the food that was not great. I think it has potential if they take the time to adjust but I need some time to cleanse my palate after that bad taste. I gave it a two star because the staff was pretty good and the pickles were the best part of the meal. The busser were on top of it and were kind. The hush puppies were more of a tamale taste but they were alright if you like the taste of masa. Updated 4/19/2023: we took home the meat to see if we could have it on a salad or something but we opened it up and it was green! I will not be coming back to this location.

EAT HERE ASAP. Spitfire Smokehouse blew me away. Great portions, great food and friendly service. I may go as far to say this was the best barbecue I have ever had in the entire state of Utah. They had a great selection of local beers, both canned and on tap. I'll start with the sides: I had the mac and cheese and the coleslaw which were both fantastic. The hushpuppies were perfectly cooked and delicious and their homemade pickles were just right. They tasted fresh and clean without too much overpowering flavor. The barbecue sauces were also phenomenal. The house and hot bbq sauces were to die for, and you could tell they were freshly made and had some texture. I was an especially big fan of the Carolina vinegar based bbq sauce. Finally, on to the meats. The ribs were a bit dry for me but the pulled chicken and pulled pork were amazing. The best part of this whole meal however, was the brisket. It was tender, buttery and melted in my mouth. I think of this brisket often now, and I cannot wait to go back and order an entire pound of it. Bottom line: if you're in Moab, you NEED to try this place. You will not be disappointed.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY! We should have known something was not right with this place when there was no one eating here and you couldn't smell smoke from the smoker. But there are only so many burgers and pizzas you can eat while in Moab and we wanted to change it up with BBQ. We ordered the fried green beans, nachos with pulled pork, shrimp po boy w/ fries, the tacos (tri-tip), the three meat platter (brisket, pulled port, and tri-tip) w/ mac and cheese and beans for sides and a root beer float. This cost over $100 and the only edible item was the fried green beans. Don't get me started on the meat, no seasoning, no smoke, and tastes like it is either sitting in a slow cooker all day or microwaved. The service is not great either, I asked if I could swap the chips and salsa side with my tacos for the coleslaw since we were ordering the nachos and the person taking my order at the counter rudely yelled "no swaps" and that was our only interaction with any staff. And to make this experience so much better, every person in our group ended up sick to their stomaches with food poisoning.
