I really enjoyed my experience here. The door hadn't even closed behind me before they greeted me and told me to sit anywhere I wanted. It was 45 minutes to closing time, but the food was fresh and came out surprisingly fast. They were busy going about their closing routine, but I did not lack for anything, and they let me sit and finish eating without even so much as a sideways glance about it being time to go.

I ordered the shrimp and grits. I felt like I was eating some grandma’s home cooking deep in the woods. Very flavorful, peppery, hearty. I cleaned my plate. Somehow I ended up with a complementary piece of fried fish that I did not order. It was amazing! Very tender and flaky and moist, with a delicious, crisp corn bread batter. My son had the chicken tenders and fries off the kids menu. Very decently priced. The fries were just like the fish: crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. Flavorful throughout. And these weren’t any ordinary chicken tenders. Somebody actually sliced up a breast of chicken with a knife in the back, hand breaded them, and deep-fried them. 95% chicken and 5% crust, not like those hard, crusty things that scrape the top of your mouth from the greasy spoon down the street. The chicken was just like the fish: crispy on the…well, you get the point!

I found them on Google maps, where they had a single $ rating the price level of the menu, and I found it was slightly more expensive than I would’ve thought. But maybe that’s Google’s bad. The food and service were worth every penny. Sam was my waitress, and there was another shorter lady with very short hair there as well. They were both great. Even the cook came out and gave us great service. I can’t wait for my next trip to Mobile to try the breakfast. Almost makes me want to move to...

I wish I could say our experience at this restaurant was enjoyable, but unfortunately, it was anything but. From the moment we walked in, the energy toward us felt cold and unwelcoming—a stark contrast to how other guests were treated. While we watched others receive friendly, attentive service, we were barely acknowledged, waiting far too long just to have our order taken. Even when the restaurant cleared out and it was just my fiancée and me, the neglect continued. No drink refills, no check-ins—just indifference.

To make matters worse, the food was a major disappointment. The seafood omelette arrived sitting in a pool of oil, and the fried green tomatoes and shrimp were so greasy it was hard to even enjoy the flavor. The oil overpowered everything, leaving the dishes feeling heavy and unappetizing. It’s one thing to have slow service on a busy night, but when it feels intentional, and the food is so poorly prepared, it stings in a different way. Restaurants should be places where all guests feel valued, not selectively catered to. Sadly, this place failed that basic standard. I won’t be back, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone who expects respect, decency, or even a...

Went here today, was disappointed, waited over an hour, waiter was rude. When we walked in, got on the wait list no greeting. We then saw her call someone else to let them know that their table was ready. 10 minutes later another person walked in, she got the proper greeting, she also was asked if she wanted outside or inside. I turned to ask my other party why didn’t we get that offer, we were just told to wait and the waiter didn’t even ask for our number so that we could get a call when the spot was ready. Then I tell my other party to put our number down bc I didn’t want to be out of order if I did it. So he gives her our number. Another 45 minutes went by and we didn’t receive a call. We walk back in Bobs and I noticed other people seated and then I grab the list and saw that our name was totally skipped over and she had preceded to call everyone after us, when I address her, she tells me that she overlooked it, it’s busy in their. I’m looking at her like, it’s a restaurant, it gets busy but that’s not an excuse bc to me, you’re being raciest!! My other party was uncomfortable, so we ended up walking out bc we were afraid for our food. Will...

Let me start by saying that 3 stars doesn't mean "bad" to me. To me, 3 stars is like getting a "C or C+" on your report card. You didn't fail, BUT you didn't knock it outta the park. I'm still moving around in Alabama and gave this place a try. I actually like the " Old school diner feel". I think the menu has a good variety, and the servers were nice to us. I thought it was cool how the servers knew some customers by name. This place does feel comfortable when you come in. The food was ok. I had French toast, bacon, eggs, and the house potatoes. My food was hot and fresh. The French toast had some delicious cream (sweet butter) on it. The eggs, bacon, and potatoes were alright. My companion ordered the Gouda shrimp and grits. Now, these actually had the potential to be quite tasty, but the grits were luke warm and lumpy. We really didn't taste any gouda either. We enjoyed the seasoning they had on the grits. I'll probably try them again because there were some other things on the menu I'm interested in giving a try.
