If you had asked me to rate Fort Conde Inn at the end of our wedding, this would have been a five-star review. If you asked me the day after, it would have been 3, and 2 days after that, it became a 1.||||The general staff there is very friendly and eager to help. The Wedding itself was great. The venue is beautiful, and the food is very good.||To keep this as short as possible I won’t go over every tiny issue, since they all come back to one thing.||||They will promise you pretty much anything in reason and repeat eagerly that they “can take care of it,” and to “leave it to them.” Unfortunately, because of what seems like poor communication between the staff, and perhaps a bit of over-promising, inevitably things will slip through the cracks and won’t get done (For us it was the repeated assurances that they would pack up our leftovers... the food is good, but you definitely pay for it).||||At first, we got general apologies from the staff that was working when we found out they had “thrown out,” (or in my many years of experience in the food industry; boxed up and took home) our leftovers. But, since neither of the two women that planned this wedding with us from the beginning (the General Manager and Wedding Co-Ordinator), and who had actually been the ones that made these promises repeatedly were there, we got no REAL apology.||||We emailed David, the Owner, to let him know what happened and how we felt. And in response, we got NO apology, just an email calling us liars and accusing US of taking advantage of THEM and THEIR GENEROSITY. I sh!t you not. You spend 10’s of Thousands of Dollars to be told that you shouldn’t complain about what they DIDN’T do, because everything else they promised was them being generous, so you should basically SIT DOWN and EAT IT, if you have a legitimate complaint.||||In the end, I wouldn’t tell you to not get married here. The wedding itself was great, but I would say GET EVERYTHING you agree on, and I mean EVERYTHING in writing, SO, when that inevitable thing doesn’t get taken care of, YOU don’t have to sit there and read an email from the Owner calling YOU a LIAR with $20,000 of YOUR money in HIS pocket.||||PS (There is a ‘discount’ you get for guaranteeing to book out 25 of their overpriced rooms. That discount gets paid back pretty quickly when you find out they charge that same amount to turn the string lights above the street on at night. You know... the lights that you’ll 100% NEED if you want your wedding guests to be able to see during the OUTSIDE RECEPTION.)||||Venue: 5 / Staff: 4 / Owner:...

Got married here in December, still pretty high covid times. The place was beautiful for our wedding but it was a lack of communication for us. We came here July 2019 and right off the bat was told the venue accommodated up to 500 people and were told they had tables and chairs. Our wedding was December 19 2020 and on December 17 we found out the venue only had enough chairs for 100 guest. We also were in contact for a few months with one manager who was going to be at our wedding, two months before the wedding we get an email stating they would no longer be with us so they were sending us to another manager, we held contact with them the whole time, and on the final walk through December 17 we were told that the first manager who was supposed to be leaving, was going to be there for our wedding. Which was a little upsetting because we weren’t in contact with them for over a month. On wedding day the street was blocked up but the cop was not out of the car directing guest on where to park and walk to the sight, I had several guest who ended up leaving in frustration, one guest even asked the cop and they waived there hand staying no through traffic. For setup I asked would staff help put on chair covers? (150) I was told yes. Wedding day the groomsmen had to put them on in their suites, staff would not help. On breakdown the staff were just ripping off my seat covers that I bought and paid for and just throwing them on the grown causing a lot to get dirty. The staff didn’t pass out my ready made goody bags that I made for my guest (we booked the whole property for two days for friends and family and every room was filled) we were told the staff would bring my things over from the bridal suite to the honey moon suite, they did not, my wedding was at 3pm and I specifically asked if checkout was 11, would I have to leave my bridal suite, I was told no since we booked the whole property, at around 11 a cleaning women came in and started cleaning up the whole suite and moving things around during time of us getting dressed and ready, very awkward. some staff members were very nice and helpful, but those details stuck out to us because it wasn’t what...

What a beautiful setting for a quick girl outing for a concert (Joe Bonamassa) at the Saenger Theatre! The staff was so engaging and friendly as well as intuitive to any needs we might have had. I traveled with my Friend Anne, from Pensacola, for a Sunday night concert and we checked out on Monday. The rooms were very comfortable with elegant linens (slept so well), fluffy ,abundant towels and the in-room accommodations were over the top with coffees, teas and waters for our comfort. They also had coffee and teas downstairs in the lobby area with great conversations and a little Mobile history. The Inn is located in the heart of historic downtown Mobile, so the sites were full of stories. The Inn provided access to the Bistro across the way, and it did not disappoint- We enjoyed dinner there before the concert and met the chef who was so gracious to visit with all the guests as we dined. The food was wonderful, and the white linen service was very crisp and professional. We received discounts for breakfast on Monday- we enjoyed bloody Mary's and dallied over the wonderful, hand-crafted breakfast. It was a beautiful early spring weekend, and the Inn had hosted a wedding the day before, so all of the fresh flowers were still on site for us to enjoy. The parking was easy and accessible. We used the golfcart service, Mob City Rides to access the concert and couldn't have been happier with the service! We had one incident where Anne left her phone behind, and Mob city Rides was so helpful and kind to help her re-connect with it. We will definitely recommend this place to our friends and family. Thank you so much for a great stay, Fort Conde! We will be back our...

Just attended a wedding at Ft. Condé Inn. The “luxury town home” was dirty and only had one very small bathroom. The only bathroom was located up a steep set of stairs so anyone that struggles with stairs would have a very hard time. The furniture was out of date, beat up, and uncomfortable. The bedside tables were about the diameter of a pancake literally. The blinds were cheap paper blinds and covered in dust/grime. There were spots on the wall and our feet turned black after walking around the townhome barefoot for a few minutes. The bathroom tile was nasty as you vs a see by pictures. All of this would have been fine for 100$ or less a night but we were charged over 400$ per night. This place takes advantage of wedding parties by over charging and aren’t held accountable because wedding guests don’t want to be a disruption to the event they are a part of. The elevators were broken and don’t even got to top floor when functional. The buildings have no insulation and paper walls so be prepared to hear trains and whatever is going on outside all night. The “complementary breakfast” is not free, doesn’t open until 8am requires a reservation, and in a setting where you should tip a server (which is fine but false advertising). They force weddings to reserve all the rooms or the bride and groom are responsible. They add extra charges to weddings like for the string lights they advertise in all of the pictures. I feel like this place should be charging half of what it did to my family so I’m hoping to help another avoid this in the future.

First time to stay at bnb. This is nice for younger crowd. Loud Train on one side, interstate on other. If u have large box fan for noise. Bed is the best, so comfortable you want to stay in it. Pillows are great dont flatten out like other places. Furniture is large and antique. 2 chairs in living room very stained. Looked forward to jet tub but it quit after 1 minute and girl at desk did not know what to do. My nephew ordered us a room with a balcony but there was no door to go out on the balcony, could not see out windows, need washed. Need strong person to carry luggage up for old people, took both of us to get it up there. Steps are steep. TV would not play any programs such as cooking, etc. Tub takes so long to drain u have to stand in first person's water. Bathroom is huge and pretty except for mold in shower and floor needed scrubbed. The soap, shampoo, lotion and body wash smelled SO good. Sink is beautiful pedestal sink. Love the large glass doors on shower. Bedroom and living room was large. There is no ice. Breakfast was good. Lots of fruit. The cinnamon rolls are excellent. Water is $3. You can buy snacks in the room. They dont harp over mask issue, so if u forget to put it on it's not a sin. They are not scared to bring u your food. Need umbrella if raining, u get soaked bringing luggage in. We stayed in the green house. Key said 10 on it.
