We popped in here while wandering shops in the city. I’m so glad we did. There’s so much more to offer than what you can see from the street. The shop is far bigger than it looks from the outside, as its depth is the entire of the block, it has a lower level, there’s a wide array of artists’ work for sale, AND the gallery owners are wonderfully kind folks. We really enjoyed chatting with the owners. They enlightened us on the Mobile leprechaun lore when we inquired. They allowed our 10-year-old to sit and sketch while we parents and our 8-year-old wandered the store, and they gave us great tips for the remainder of our time in Mobile. When my husband remarked on the beautiful stairs that led to the basement, one of the owners told us it used to be a tunnel that went under the street and over to the cathedral and was used to help slaves escape. Mobile’s history is so fascinating, and I loved that we could shop modern art while in this very old and storied building.

What can you do besides shop at Target and order from Amazon? You can support your local community artists in downtown Mobile. If you're from Pensacola, the ride that you take across the water is worth it. You can enjoy a nice meal at Wintzel's and then visit the museum for a lunch date. Wintzel's has a 4.1 equality, diversity and inclusion rating and the Lupercalia museum has such a variety of items that you will definitely appreciate its rich representations of culture. Don’t go down the tunnel if you can’t handle being in tight spaces 😉

This was the best coop art gallery I’ve ever been to, and immediately became one of my favorite art galleries I’ve ever visited. It’s got SO MUCH going on, it’s got a great arrangement, and it’s got a cool history with the speakeasy/tunnel action going on. I bought a little glass vase that I shall stick wildflowers into. The prices are good for local made art, for both the artist and the customer. Come visit this place!

This is a genuine gem in Mobile Alabama. The Gallery is one of the coolest I've been in and once you make it to the underground exhibit you'll see why I say this. The Gallery holds the majority of it's works from local artist and the collective of works was of the charts. I had the opportunity to speak with one of the galleries owners and I must say he was a God send. I recommend visiting on your next trip...
