Brickyard — Restaurant in Mobile

old building that has been renovated into a bar, very high ceilings, stage at 1 and has a small dance floor. there are two pool tables in the front of the bar, also people were playing what looks like Beach games out on a back patio/deck, but I didn't go back there. Everyone got carded as they came in the door... And I mean everyone, LOL! I felt the staff was very attentive. The clientele had a pretty steady turnover over the course of the evening, broad mix of Ages from 20s through 50s and even a sprinkling of musicians types who were older than that. What's up with people who were in weddings that then go out to bars after... Based on bridesmaid dresses, there were remnants of three different weddings over the course of the evening ( two of the dresses were not something I would have worn out in public, much less do a bar, but then nobody invited me to be in the wedding, LOL. Maybe it is a Rite of Passage for the area, IDK, I'm not from around here.) Smoking is allowed in this bar. But there are really powerful ceiling fans so in theory you should not be getting a face full of smoke if a smoker settles next to you. finally, was a really good blues/southern rock band, but even the music that played between the band sets was good,...

Have been coming here for years, and tonight we had a horrible experience. My fiancée was assaulted while waiting for the women's bathroom, she was then skipped by several other women waiting for bathroom. After this, I encouraged her to just use the men's bathroom while I stood watch. Then a "newer" employee decided to kick her out because she was using one of the mens stalls. I would be more understanding if they policed this consistently, but they said nothing to several other women who used the mens bathroom before her. The employee seemed to be having a power trip, and decided to be extremely rude with me as I was trying to explain the situation to him. We will not be back anytime soon, and want to caution anyone planning to come here as well. We used to love this establishment, but we'll find somewhere else to take our business...

Absolute worst place I've ever been to. I was an out of town visitor for my bday 3.5.91. My sisters and I went to the bathroom and a small bouncer came yelling at my sister for supposedly holding the bathroom door open (it's a small bathroom and it's just courtesy). He told us we had to leave we said that was fine and we'll head out. He walks away and comes back with like 8 people. We were assaulted and thrown out of the club. Swollen and attacked all because we went to the bathroom. Completely unprofessional. That place needs to be shut down. O'Dalys was 10 times better anyway. They wouldn't have punched a woman square...
