Went in Wednesday night (11/01) around midnight just me my husband and our 8 year old. We were told by the “floor manager “ there would be a wait which was fine with us… there was ZERO tables but they had about 3 (maybe 4) togo orders. A few mins later a young girl with braids sat us and took our drink orders and walked off saying she was going to let us look at the menu then she would take our order, we told her that would great. SHE DID NOT COME BACK. Then about 15 mins later she sat someone beside us, took his order and did not acknowledge us AT ALL. We continued to wait because we had been in the emergency room all night with our 8 year old and needed some late dinner. I saw that the girl was putting together some of the togos- I have worked in restaurants so I know how it can be, so we CONTINUED to wait, giving her the benefit of doubt hoping she was going to finish up and come take our order (we had been waiting about 15 Minutes at this point). Other than the man beside us, she was not waiting on any other tables. There was only 1 other table sat on the other side of the restaurant but they were being waited on by the “floor manager”. The young girl who was supposed to be our waitress brought the gentleman who came in 15 mins after us his food and once again did not even acknowledge us and did not even look our direction. We continued patiently sitting there with our menus in hand, while the girl and floor manager continued to walk around completely oblivious to the fact we were still waiting to order. (And I only know she was the floor manager bc I heard her tell the one and only other table in there that she was). couple more minutes went by and I’m sure the annoyed looks on our faces caught the attention because the floor manager asked the girl if she had checked on us and the girl said yes, which was a lie!! We had not said anything and just continued to wait because we have both worked in restaurants are we are extremely understanding and lenient with our servers because we get it! But at that point it was becoming ridiculously clear that we had been completely and utterly forgotten, they were NOT busy at all and to be frank it is their job to take our order and ring it in, we should not have had to remind them that we were there and that we have not been waited on. Anyways, when the girl FINALLY came back to the table, she was speaking so low I could barely hear her in the quiet restaurant, so I asked her to repeat what she said … I thought she said “can I take your order” but I actually believe now that she asked “did I take your order”… but thinking that she was asking “can I” , I said yes and proceeded to begin asking my daughter what she wanted … before I could even FINISH MY SENTENCE the girl turned and straight up WALKED AWAY FROM THE TABLE without saying A WORD. She walked off and started hitting buttons on the computer screen (I think she thought she took our order and had lost it, but she never actually took it) we waited a couple more minutes for her to come back and she continued standing at the computer. We had been in the restaurant for about 35 minutes at that point and had lost all patience and proceeded to leave the restaurant because it had become abundantly clear we were not going to be waited on. I’ve never had such a bad experience ever with any restaurant and I hope they give both of those girls working that night THE BOOT or at least put them back in training. and to be honest I think the girl was high on weed that would explain a lot. Completely disappointed and I hope the manager &/or...
Read moreI ordered a Colorado omelet. Which is my favorite. Very tasty. I have ordered this multiple times from various locations. As a former employee of an IHOP I know how food is prepared and cooked. This particular location was on my way back to Pensacola, I decided to stop and get a bite. The hostess was rude and short with me...no big deal cause I'm not eating in. I pay and get back on the road. I come to a stop and take a bite just to realize the shredded meat is sour and rotten. So again not a problem it happens. I call them to let them know, "Hey check the meat it has gone bad!" and naturally since it's un edable I would like my 15 bucks returned to my card. The very rude hostess explains that she will tell her manager to call me so I can get a refund. Would you imagine...she never did tell her manager. So I call a week later, and guess who answers...the same rude hostess. Today she is especially rude. I begin to explain to her who I was and my reasoning for calling....and THIS CHICK!!!! Tells me "I TOLD YOU TO HOLD ON!" I replied "You most definitely did not! If you had I would have held on. RUDE!" So now I'm waiting she picks up shortly after and says what do you need. At this point I'm trying not to go full Karen on this chick. I just ask to speak with a manager cause this isn't going anywhere. I finally start explaining to the manager what happened and she tells me the food is not rotten...I brace my self and again explain my frustration. When I ordered my food a WEEK ago IT WAS. I told the hostess to inform the cook's IT IS BAD. At this point I just want my money back, but naturally she is not that kind of manager and can't. So again I wait for a manager to call me back. Probably not gonna happen. Hence the review....
Read moreI placed a pick up order over the phone for some stuffed french toast, something I’ve had a few times and been quite happy with. Whilst on the phone, I made sure to repeat that I wanted the stuffed variant vs the regular, as I could hear they were busy and didn’t want to cause any confusion. Being a server myself, I can understand what it’s like trying to take down orders amidst chaos. Received a confirmation of my order, and my partner went to grab it. When he came back, he expressed that he was unsure if they had given me the correct order despite asking twice while there that it was, in fact, stuffed and not regular. He told me both times they confirmed. However, it definitely was the regular kind. I decided to deal with my disappointment, but not without being quite upset since there were plenty of opportunities on their end to correct the situation. In a way that seemed to add insult to injury, I opened the whipped cream and there was hardly anything in the container except a sad little blob that looked like all the air had been knocked out of it. I fully understand that IHOP isn’t some sort of five star restaurant and that it’s a little ridiculous to expect something of superior quality. However, this was simple, and when you can’t even have simple expectations of a restaurant met, it’s...
