This place felt very much like family sit down restaurant. If Dominick Toretto could have a place for La Familia get together, this would probably be it. Very friendly and attentive staff. I mean hey, it's been in business for 15 years, so I think it's something that you should support.
I'm giving this restaurant a lower rating for one main reason. The food. This was nothing to write home about. I ordered a combo meal - beef burrito, beef enchilada, and beef taco (would have went with the tamal, but they were out in the time that I ordered. My wife got the shrimp fajita.
They brought out the chips and salsa. The chips tasted like they've been there for a while. Freshly heated, but you could still feel the stale remnants in there. The salsa was also just ok. Tasted partly home made, but not, if you know what I mean.
When the entree came out, the crunchy taco shell was stale and the bottom was soggy. My wife's entree came shortly after. Sorry to say but the shrimps looked like cocktail shrimp that had been cooked one more time with seasoning. Very over cooked. I also ordered rice and beans, which when they came out, the beans were to be expected, but the rice had only enough flavor to taste that it wasn't plain rice (peas, carrots, corn added as well). The only thing that saved the day was the guacamole salad, salsa, and sour cream to add to the shrimp fajitas.
During the whole experience, our waiter was prompt, the store manager was friendly, and besides the food, the experience was nice.
Overall, I would go back to support the business because it's good people. But the chef needs some...

After waiting up front for a while to be seated, the manager finally came up and said "I'm going to seat you, but it will be a while before I can serve you." Someone brought us some salsa and drinks and we sat there for another 45 minutes before anyone approached our table again. When we asked if we could place our order, the same manager said "I told you 'I was going to seat you but it would be a while before I could serve you.'"
When the food came out, it was hot; but that's about the only good thing I can say. The steak in my fajitas looked like someone used a cheese grater to get it into fine little strips. Definitely not...
Read moreThe first time my husband and I went here, we went for the margaritas (thank you awesome reviewers) but we stayed for the food! The Texas margaritas are a must-have. Strong yet flavorful. But the food will blow your mind too. This place has the most incredible fajitas I have ever tasted.
The service is wonderful. Thoughts little understaffed, the two people we've met so far have been nothing but kind, thoughtful, and helpful. My husband and I have been here twice and the manager already recognized us and remembered what we had last time.
We'll definitely...
