My family and I had gone to this establishment for a simple early-dinner after my parent's wedding just a few hours prior. We had gotten there around 4:40, Firebrand's dinner officially starting at 5, but they had seated us early regardless, we presumed the rest of our evening would go just as smoothly as our welcoming had; it didn't. In spite of the fact of our earlier arrival, they were out of two main-menu items as well as another two options off the happy-hour choices, we weren't informed of their unavailability until our orders were being taken, making three of my party members having to change their orders on-the-spot. My mother ordered the "Living Lettuce Firebrand House Salad" with her meal, the first ingredient being listed as Granny Smith apples, and disappointingly there were none, and instead canned pear slices taking their place. Fried Soppressata Salami was also meant to be a main part of the salad; of which there was only a singular piece on top. The cherry on top was the French Onion Soup, of which two of my party members had ordered and both agreed was most definitely not hot enough, but otherwise an excellent flavour profile. The drinks were good and the staff, including both of the servers who had attended to my group were wonderful to us, thank you to both the young man and woman that had...
Read moreLast evening there were 5 of us for dinner at 515pm...initially we were the only ones, so service could have been awesome...but it soon became evident how badly they are suffering from the new norm of "no one wants to work" or is available to work because our little town has become quite chic and only for the wealthy and it is not affordable to live here anymore. Most of what we ordered was "not available tonight" and what we did order was tasteless (caesare salad with chicken, goat cheese with beet salad which included about a teaspoon of goat chees and 3 tiny oieces of beet) and so on. Our server was completely overwhelmed as the place began to fill up and clearly not a professional. I could go on but suffice it to say this was probably one of the WORST dining experiences we've ever had. To their credit, I quietly took our problems to the manager and we talked about how horrible it is to be in hospitality these days and she did reduce our bill significantly. It pays to be KIND on both sides so...
Read moreMy husband and I just had the pleasure of eating dinner at the firebrand restaurant in downtown Whitefish. The host was really kind and personable. He was upfront with us about what menu items weren't available, which we appreciated. Our busy waitress Debbie was kind and attentive. My husband got a beer and I got a muel cocktail. Both were delicious. My husband ordered the ahi tuna tacos. It normally comes with 3 but he ordered a 4th and was glad he did. They are VERY tasty. But they are very small. I ordered the sliders. It came with 2 small sliders topped with bacon and a quail egg as well as a side of home made chips. The chips were large in size, crispy, and so good (very salty). The sliders had such layered flavors! Everything we ate and drank was delicious. However the portions are small and the price expensive. If price isn't an issue, I'd highly recommend...
