Morro Bay Butcher & Deli — Restaurant in Morro Bay

Any time I visit any deli I try their club sandwich, not because it's my favorite but because if you mess that up then I'm not ever coming back. I tried the Morro Bay Butcher & Deli today for the first time and I can say without a doubt they have the best club sandwich in SLO county. The business appeared clean and the owners (new to SLO) were front and center behind the counter and we're very friendly (welcome to SLO county BTW). I will be back to try more. I did get a good size portion of their pecan smoked bacon too which I have not tried yet but it looks amazing and is nice and thick. Prices seemed fair for the quality and amount you get (that Club is BIG) and they certainly know their meat. You need to try these sandwiches! I've been there before to get their high quality meat. I've been keeping an eye out for the reopening after the storms that passed through and had to order two sandwiches for a little variety. I ordered the Hot Mess and the Cuban and both were the best sandwiches in Morro Bay and some of the best sandwiches I've ever had! Rented a house on the beach with friends and wanted a tenderloin for dinner. Found this Butcher shop and WOW! what a great experience. Butcher/owner took about 15 minutes to trim the tenderloin beautifully. Did a simple oven roast and all agreed it was out of this world both in flavor and tenderness.
