Update- The GM did call me and he took the experience very seriously and invited us back to have a different experience on him. We went back this past Tuesday night. Shawn(hope I'm spelling that right!) was a great server. We did ask to speak to the GM but we had missed him, we got there after 7pm. The food was prepared just as we asked. We both got a burger for our main course. If a manager had come to the table I would have been happy to express how pleasant the experience was compared to the last time, but it seems that is not a regular part of their service. Overall, if a group invited me to go out to Miller's I would go but its still not my first choice.
Previous Visit: Went there to celebrate my husband's birthday. We were sat in the back bar area. They were out of many items my guests requests: Ginger Beer, Dos Equis, French Dip sandwhich. They ran out of Miller Draft before our second course could come out. One of my guests ordered the Mac and cheese when the server took entree orders but what came out was just a side. When we asked him why he said because she didn't specify that she wanted an entree 😳 even though THAT WAS THE COURSE HE WAS TAKING AN ORDER FOR. My other guest asked if his Grilled Rueben could be prepared open face, the server wasn't clear on what this meant so we explained and what my guest got was the regular closed face sandwhich prepared regular andnjust served split open and not with the cheese on top of the halves, just not what was ordered if they couldn't or wouldn'tdo it they should have just said they wouldn't, but Google is free. My MIL ordered a Grilled Rueben and everyone had gotten their food and almost 20 minutes later she did not have her food. When we asked 5 minutes in where her food was they said it would very out shortly, it was obvious that the server forgot to put in the order. I ordered a medium rare strip steak, it came out medium well to well. I sent it back and was over it at that point and just told him I was good on anything else. The manager came over and confirmed there was nothing else they could get me and I replied no. When the manager pushed back and offered me a rare steak I just let him know we were having a bad experience, and I gave him a little synopsis if our experience in a calm matter of fact tone, I told him I was fine and thank you anyway. At this point the manager should have apologized, walked away, and use this as an opportunity to coach and counsel his server. Instead he said "just to let you know it was a PERFECT medium rare." I have been in restaurants for 20 years, I am a service manager myself. There was no warm red center, there was barely a strip of pink to the steak. I wish I had a photo, I should have asked him to bring it back so I could have him tell me that with a straight face with it sitting in front of me! That steak was 150° when the line cook pulled it out of the oven or off of the grill! I even tried to take a bite of the only part I could find pink and it was so tough and dry that I spit it out at the table. I would never dream of trying to gaslight a guest to make them believe they were wrong in food service. The managers name was Shawn and if I was the General Manager or Regional manager of this establishment I would seriously reasses if I wanted someone like that representing my brand. There are MUCH better places to eat in this area to waste your time here. I WILL...
Read moreThis location has parking on premises, it is next door to a hotel so It is very convenient.
They do have a wait time at the dinner hours so the best bet here is to make a reservation in advance if possible.
They have outside sitting now due to the covid therefore they have a lot of tables, this is a massive sports bar and ale house.
The service is as expected for a chain of restaurants, the serves are friendly but not the fastest.
The drinks here are not super cheap and as expected for a chain, the specialty cocktails are pretty watered down.
STRAWBERRY AND COCONUT MOJITO- Pretty nice in size and as expected watered down, I also did not taste the coconut at all, the taste I picked up on this drink was strawberry and lime, so I was a bit disappointed as I do love coconut and that was the reason I ordered the drink.
CHEESE CURDS- AMAZING!! this is the best appetiser I have had in years! the size is perfect for sharing with your date. they serve this with a RANCH and a spicy HONEY sauce, and the honey sauce is pretty awesome, so much so that we even drizzled on some of our main dishes.
FETTUCCINI ALFREDO WITH SHRIMP- this is a pretty good dish, the serving size is pretty generous and enough to share if not too hungry. they are also pretty generous on the amount of shrimp in the meal. the only down part is that you need to ask for the parmesan cheese if you are like me and like a cheesy pasta. but besides that this is a pretty good meal
ZINGER MAC AND CHEESE- the Mac and cheese is hands down one of the best I have ever had, the zinger was pretty good and spicy too! the both tied the dish together to perfection.
DONUTS- these are ok, it reminds me of a funnel cake from a carnival. it was good but not at all an impressive kind of dessert.
Over all this is a pretty good place to have a nice meal, we had a great time and came back a couple of times after we...
Read moreUPDATE: The GM reached out and we had a great conversation. I feel confident in saying that they do not want customers to have this kind of experience. I felt heard and reaffirmed in my experience and they have rectified the situation thanks to the leadership of the restaurant- not the woman I originally spoke to. Thank you Gabe for the much needed call and thank you Casey for being kind and resolving the food order issue later that night when we had to call back.
What happened: I had such a negative experience with Miller's Ale House. I have ordered from here numerous times and have never had an issue like tonight. First: THE FOOD. My friend ordered a chicken caesar salad that came with no chicken. Huh? Then they put my ribs and mash potatoes together so it's all smush together. Wasn't the end of the world but when I followed up with the restaurant I was highly disappointed. THE CALL: So we reach out to notify the restaurant of the mistake so it can be rectified but the woman I spoke to was rude and had a condescending tone. Even though we didn't order through DoorDash (we ordered through the restaurant's website which by the way never redirected me to DD), she states that it's on DoorDash who picked it up. Okay? That didn't make sense to me because I was never redirected to DD's site so I restated that we ordered through the restaurant site. Instead of politely explaining how the restaurant uses DD without a customer placing the order through DD, she reiterated what she said in the most condescending, unhelpful way. Customers do not deserve to feel like they can not ask questions for clarity especially when the restaurant got the...
