Me and my boyfriend came for the 1st time a couple days ago. Wanted to go on a breakfast date before my big surgery! I had gotten an omelette and said I wanted the salad instead of the hash browns. I also ordered and boost vitamin shot. The waitress informed me that I had a really strong taste, which I already knew that from taking vitamin shots before, but she offered to bring me a juice on the side to drink it with. I had also ordered the watermelon juice for my drink. When our plates came out, I ended up still getting the hashbrowns instead of a salad and our waitress never came back for me to say anything. I did not get my orange juice and vitamin boost shot. She never checked on us and we were sitting waiting to check out so when we saw her, she was up at the bar On her phone with The men at the bar just scrolling through pictures! We didnât know that we had to go to the front to check out because as I said, it was our first time being there. It got to the point where my boyfriend finally had to get up go to the bar and get her attention and interrupt her from her chatting it up with the guys and her phone! when she came over, I told her I didnât get my salad. I had the hashbrowns And she said âoh well once theyâre in front of you, you canât help but eat themâ And Iâm thinking yeah I went ahead and ate them because you never once came back to check on us at all not for a refill, not to just see how we were doing! ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! Then I told her I didnât get my vitamin shot and orange juice and she said oh she put the vitamin shot in my watermelon juice which I donât believe because I didnât taste it and thatâs not what she told me she was going to do. She told me that she was bringing me orange juice on the side with the shot But we got charged for it. I mean it is only $.99 so I guess itâs not that big a deal but I wouldâve liked to have it and not Been ignored the whole time. So as we went to go check out, the cashier didnât seem that friendly as well as she didnât say anything she didnât ask if we enjoyed our meal or anything at all. So the food was actually really good no complaints about the food, but the service was Horrible so I guess I wonât be going back if thatâs how Iâm going...
Read moreService at First Watch is always OK at best, but this particular location often has major problems and this past Sunday was by far, the absolute worst.
We sat at the last 2 available seats at the bar. There were dirty dishes that had not be cleaned up and the bar had not been wiped. The bartender was playing with something in the cash register, looked up and saw us, but said nothing. Once she was finished she went up to previous customers at the bar to see what else they needed and made a couple of drinks and served them.
After almost 10 minutes she finally addressed us and removed the dirty dishes. She walked away - which I presumed was to get a cloth to wipe down the area, but no, she went out into the dining room to handle those tables. Mind you, we still do not have menus. We finally asked another employee to hand us a couple of menus.
The bartender/server, Taylir, finally came up to us - never addressed the wait we had, and never wiped down the area. She took our order and walked away. We waited and waited, then she said our food should be up any minute.
After another 15 minutes we asked her about our food, and without checking she just said it should be up any minute . Several minutes later our food came. Again, no apology or any reference to the long wait.
I asked for the check right away since I did not want to wait for it when we were done eating.
Taylir ruined the whole experience. Had she simply talked to us, let us know that she was behind, and would be doing everything she could to serve us, but it might take a while, we would have understood. But to not address us at all, not give us menus, take forever to take the order - just ridiculously bad service.
I won't say that I will never be back, but frankly, it will take a long time to shake off this very negative experience before we are ready to try them again.
UPDATE: As you can see, First Watch asked me to send more information so they could contact me. It has now been 3 months since I sent the information, no one has ever reached out. Now I see why the restaurants have poor customer service - it stems down...
Read moreMy wife and I had breakfast here this morning. We waited over 20 minutes to be greeted by the waitress and when she arrived, we began to understand why. The restaurant was busy and she was EXTREMELY slow. We ordered coffee and potatoes as a starter. Coffee was very weak (brewed with too much water). Potatoes were plain chopped, sautĂŠed potatoes, unseasoned. After receiving the potatoes, we waited 15 minutes before the waitress returned to ask about entreeâs. During that 15 minute wait, we had to ask another worker to get a freshly brewed pot of coffee due to the neglect of our waitress. She came out and made two rounds with her tables and didnât stop at our table either of those times. The entrĂŠes came out 30-40 minutes after ordering. I ordered biscuits and gravy. The gravy was very thin and lacked flavor. My wifeâs salmon and vegetable frittata was severely over cooked. The side order of eggs were over cooked as well. They were both very dry and came out luke warm. After the entrees were delivered we didnât see the server again for 30 minutes. We asked her for the check and i observed her take 10 minutes at the computer before walking the check over to our table. We gave the money to another worker to pay the bill and that worker got back with our change before she could even notice we already paid.
After being a loyal, long time customer at very many First Watch locations inside of North Carolina and Georgia, I will call this Mt. Pleasant location the first disappointment. I now understand why the wait time to get a table was over an hour. Servers like Mary who have one slow speed no matter the circumstance will not open tables for new guests. My wife and I were seated at First Watch this morning for almost 3 hours to have potatoes, a coffee, and one...
