Eureka! — Restaurant in Mountain View

This was honestly one of the most frustrating restaurant experiences I’ve ever had. I came with two friends, and from the start we were completely ignored. It took 25 minutes just to get anyone to acknowledge us, then another 15 minutes just for water, and almost 30 more minutes for food after water (KIDS MEALS). The only reason we got served at all was because the manager stepped in and away from the hostess stand after seeing we never got a server come our way. Our actual waitress never once came to us the entire meal. She served every table around us, left and right, but treated us like we didn’t exist. When it came time to pay, we had to flag down the manager again just to get a check, then sat another 20 minutes waiting to check out. After all of that, the waitress finally came over, not to serve us, but just to ask if we needed to pay. It felt like the only time we mattered to her was when it involved tips. Even after paying, when we asked for a box, she walked off and ignored us again. We ended up waiting another 20 minutes before asking the hostess, who grabbed one in seconds. As teens, me and my friends always tip 20% everywhere we go, but in this case our waitress literally did nothing for us. The manager did her job while she chose to ignore us the entire time. We left feeling disrespected and invisible and time waisted. No customer let alone three paying teens alone trying to enjoy a meal should never ever be treated like that. Absolutely unacceptable...

What happened to this place?!

I've been here a few times before, just never got around to writing a review...

I remember remember having a pleasant experience at Eureka when it first opened. I fell like Eureka has steadily had a downhill progression since then. Thhis time the food took forever to come...simple order, just burger and fries; 20 minutes at least and it wasn't outstanding or great. I had to ask the bartender if the kitchen was backed up. His reply; "Oh yeah. They're backed up." At least have the decency to tell me that...common courtesy, I would have thought. It's what I would have done. Customer service is now an afterthought.

#Burger ~ Double Smash - 2.5/5 This didn't look like a Double Smashburger, barely looked like a Smasedburger actually. Apparently Eureka is fully onboard the shrinkflation wagon. The sizes of the burgers have shrunk and the prices are up, the flavor seems to be missing as well not. The Fries were good.

~ Bone Marrow Burger - 2.5/5 I had this in the past. My buddy ordered it. This time it looked like a former shadow of itself...and he was NOT a fan.

Pre SHRINKFLATION items I was lucky enough to enjoy... ~ Osso Buco Riblets - 4/5 ~ Truffle Cheese Fries - 4/5 ~ Bone Marrow Burger - 4.5/5 ~ Bone Marrow Burger - 4/5 (2nd time around - Steadily declining quality) ~ Chicken Nachos - 3.5/5 ~ Blues Burger - 4/5 ~ Milk Stout - 3.5/5. A bit Sweet

Don't think I'll be returning anytime soon or...

This review is a result of a couple of trips to Eureka with friends. To begin with, Eureka is doing an absolutely stellar job with food, ambience , service and the vibe in there is just phenomenal. Its ambiance strikes the perfect balance between casual and upscale. The tastefully designed interior, with its warm lighting, rustic decor, and a vibrant bar area, creates a welcoming and stylish atmosphere.

The service at Eureka is truly exceptional. The staff is not only friendly but also highly attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. They offered insightful recommendations, promptly catered to our needs, and made us feel like valued guests throughout our visit.

Eureka's menu is filled with creative and delicious options. Across two different visits , we ordered crispy brussel sprouts and cauliflower bites (repeated across the 2 visits) alongwith Spinach and Artichoke dip, Watermelon chicken salad , Napa chicken sandwich and Saered Ahi salad( repeated as well across the 2 visits). All of these were crafted to precision cooked with an effort and plated out very well.

Absolutely recommend the Seared Ahi Salad along with the Cauliflower Bites and Brussel Sprouts. The quality of food and service provided is definitely great and the portion sizes are generous as well. Good bang for your...
