Pros:
Taste of the macarons is good
Cons:
I like the concept of these filled macarons and they look great, but these aren't the easiest to eat The macarons themselves aren't the freshest; when we tried to eat them, the feet were getting torn apart. That doesn't happen when the macarons are freshly made Most importantly, NOT sanitary! While we were here, someone who I guess was the owner's friend, stopped by with a dog (which wasn't a service animal). The owner started playing with the friend's dog, while not wearing any gloves. That's fine, if the owner was then going to wear gloves while handling food items or packaging material, which did NOT happen. The owner continued chatting with the dog owner, and went back to folding boxes - which I'm sure will then be used to pack food to go. Again, that's all acceptable if the owner were to do all this after washing her hands with water and soap - which is a requirement for food service employees to resume working by health departments nationwide - but the owner did none of this. I'm now worried, if she (and/or her staff) are willing to do this in front of customers during business hours, what must be happening off hours and when customers aren't around.

Read moreThis review isn't about the desserts, but I'll update it once I get to try! My friend and I drove here to try the fatcarons and we were so excited. Unfortunately, they closed the bakery without any prior notice on yelp or Google so we headed back home. Please update your social media when you're closing especially when it says on yelp that you're open!
Update 02/17/23 I updated my review to four stars since I came back today and was able to try some of their fatcarons. I tried the creme brulee and oreo flavor, their Hokkaido cheese cake, and their earl grey cream choux cream puff. My favorite dessert item by far was the Hokkaido cheese cake. It was light and airy and not too sweet. Out of the two macarons, the creme brulee flavor was a lot better than the oreo. This was because the macaron shells for the oreo one were extremely hard in the ones given to us. Normally I'm used to a hard outer shell but having it easy to bite through. However, the oreo flavor macaron shells were just hard all the way through. As for the earl grey choux cream puff, my boyfriend loved it since the cream wasn't very sweet. I thought it could've been a...
Read moreOh honey, let me tell you about these heavenly little bites of pure fabulousness I just discovered! I sashayed my way down to oh honey macaron at the end of Castro Street, and child, it was like stepping into a glittery wonderland of sweetness!
I needed some last-minute dazzle for my soirée, and these queens came through faster than I can say "yas!" I snatched up their vanilla, earl grey, and black sesame choux cream puffs, and let me tell you, they were serving LEWKS and TASTE, honey!
The vanilla? Classic and timeless, just like moi. That earl grey? Giving me sophisticated British realness. And don't even get me started on that black sesame - it was darker and richer than my humor, darling!
When I unveiled these little divas at my gathering, they stole the show faster than I could death drop. My guests were gagging, living, and loving every morsel.
Trust and believe, I'll be strutting back to oh honey macaron faster than you can say "ChaCha heels." They've got the location, the flavor, and the flair. Five stars? Make it ten, because these treats are the definition of "extra" - and you know that's how I like...
