Your always hesitant when you see a lot of 5 Star ratings for a place regardless of what they do or offer but ByGeorge Brewing hits it out of the park.

Do yourself a favor and stop in, try several of the brews and you’ll be astonished at the flavor and finish regardless if your into the pales, the IPA’s, the stouts, etc,... I’m a light wheat ale guy and I liked them all.

George (1/2 owner & brewer) waited on our group of four (4) from over here in the Paradise area during a day trip and he’s as personable and entertaining as he is knowledgeable and professional. George made our visit the highlight of the day and we are already planning another day trip back over in a few weeks.

Make sure to try a homemade sandwich (the Reubens are killer), soup and/or the chicken wings at the Driftwood Deli which is directly attached and accessed from the brewery as their food and service deserve a 5 Star rating too.

Not surprisingly George’s wife owns and operates the deli and shares the same passion for preparing high quality food as George does with his brews.

My wife and I came into Munising looking for a fun brewery and to get some food and thought this place would be perfect… I don’t know who was behind the bar, but they never greeted us or said anything, the woman behind the bar almost seemed annoyed. We were told if you want food you have to go across the bar to the deli to get food (no problem) we then ordered a flight with a very nice gentleman, we took it upstairs then got our food delivered - with 0 napkins which I had to go back downstairs and ask for. I just tried the double IPA — they call it the Amoeba In a Headlock... it’s HEAVENLY smooth, brewed and balanced surprisingly well for a double. And you know the best part? They have a full menu with various beers. Friendly staff — I bought a tee shirt to show support. I mentioned the coffee shop around the corner, which I enjoyed earlier in the day, and the bartender gave me a sample of Choctopus — an imperial stout w/ chocolate notes, and made with the local coffee.
