It's a real shame that one of the best burgers I've ever had is about 6 hours away from me in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Alas, if I have to schedule a vacation around making sure I go here every summer it wouldn't be the worst thing.

I'm always on the hunt for a flavorful and hopefully local good burger. The US is full of easy quick and basic burgers on every corner so much so that it's too boring to even be able to enjoy. Luckily before hunting down the many waterfalls in Munising we spied this place and made it a stop after a good long hike. And...

Probably one of the most incredible juicy flavorful rich meaty burgers I've ever had, with good side choices too! I got the Great White Bison Burger which came with a couple things including sharp white cheddar and grilled onions. But the dijonnaise side? That was amazing on the burger. We um, might have driven again later in the week to try the cheese curds (ask for dijonnaise to dip it's worth it) and also the whitefish basket which is seasonal. The whitefish was melt in your mouth and delicious and the tartar sauce was tart and sweet and sour and salty in just the right degrees. My only complaint is that it's a really small amount of fish for the price. But it's definitely quality. If you're looking for a treat try it, but don't expect to fill up on it.

The fries are crispy crunchy on the outside, salted well, and warm and hot on the inside. I love how they are served in white cups, it makes you reach in for the crunchy little bits left on the bottom. I like how they change up the menu and have little specials so you might just run into something unique for a short amount of time.

It has a nice spacious indoor area, and a great little seated area facing the beautiful waters out back. If you're in Munising for touring by boat, checking out the waterfalls, or vacationing, this is a must stop.
