We stopped here for lunch on the way back home to VA. Reviews seemed good and we needed somewhere with a big parkinglot since we were pulling a camper and this place seemed great. Parking worked out wonderfully, but the rest was all downhill. We walked in and immediately were seated and drinks were ordered by the super friendly waitress. We ordered pretzel bites, wings and a burger med rare. Pretzel bites were good, a little overcooked and hard but not bad. Burger came out well done, not med rare at all. I couldn't decide what sauce to get on my wings, so I ordered the black raspberry bbq on the wings and the waitress said I could try 2 little cups of the teriyaki and the korean bbq. Wings were a decent size, cooked well, no breading. The black raspberry sauce had a good flavor but it was thin and runny. The sauce didn't stick to the wings and they didn't sauce them and throw them under the broiler to get them sticky. Just plain wings thrown in watery sauce. The korean bbq sauce was ok, but the teriyaki tasted like mold. Luckily it was just a sample and I didn't get the wings tossed in it. Their ac was not working or it was just off. No sign on the door telling folks and after we got our drinks and realized we weren't just hot from hoofing it across the parkinglot, we didn't want ro make a fuss so we just ate quickly and left. And overall, the place needs a deep clean. Everything was sticky feeling and greasy. The ladies room was clean enough to use, but the floor, walls and door look like they haven't been cleaned in forever. The place looks like it could be a cool lil place, it just needs to tighten up and figure out...

I was not a fan of being sat next to the ladies room entrance while we ate it really was a bit unpleasant especially when the location was not busy and other tables away from the bathroom were clearly available. Although I know our waitress was unaware of our home state, I do feel like for some reason, she did not care much for us. The vibe she gave off was a bit gruff, she was not super friendly, she didn't laugh or do the usual "so where are you all from" type of conversation starter and I do feel as if it was based on our accents and assumption of where we traveled from or our appearance. I really wanted to give this place 5 stars all around. My party and I are very good tippers, I'd like to say were overly generous as many of us in our youths had at one time or another worked positions that required tipping and understand that tips are a huge part of being a waitress. I personally being unimpressed with the service we received did not want to be generous, but we thought maybe our waitress was having a bad day, so per usual, we tipped very well... we made sure she saw what she was receiving before we left, and wouldn't you know, she was sweet as pie when we left. A huge personality turn around. However, if we return to the OBX, I don't know if I'd feel inclined to return to this restaurant.
However, the food was delicious, and the prices were reasonable, and they did accommodatefor my dairy allergy. There was...
Read moreI was very happy with the food and service that my family and I received here. We were quickly seated and had our drink order taken. We were in a bit of a hurry, so we ordered after receiving our drinks. The wait for the food was not long, and the server brought me a soda refill while we were waiting. They had good quality Dr. Pepper from the soda machine, along with the preferred "soft" ice which is often found down south. Our food arrived, and the presentation was great. The burgers had a steak knife stabbed into them, and the top roll was "branded" with their company name. The burgers were cooked perfectly, to each one's request. Mine was medium, and they did and excellent job with a charred exterior, and a perfectly pink center. The rolls were yummy, as where the condiments, although I think the sandwich needed pickles. I usually hate steak fries, but they did am excellent job here, getting them relatively crispy and well salted. And the mayonnaise based bbq sauce (or whatever it was) was perfect for dipping my fries into. My family was glad that we stumbled upon this place for dinner. It was a little bit pricy for burgers, but not out of line for the surrounding restaurants. I would...
